I am sorry this happend to you... it is good to read that you are doing fine now.

Your story i hope it may help other victums as well, it tells them you can overcome something this terrible.

I'm so sorry that you had to live through what you did, but glad that you could tell your story through Edward and Bella.  Many of us have been through similar situations, although mine was not quite as severe nor did it have the same outcome as Bella's.  Unfortunately, my abuser threatened not me, but my family, if I told anyone and I lived in fear for several months while he continued to emotionally, mentally and yes, physically take out his anger on me.  When he finally broke one of my ribs, I used my anger to finally tell him off, and told my parents what was going on.  It really helped to know that I wasn't alone, and that his threats were empty.  Once I took his power away and he knew that he couldn't really hurt me or my family, he left me alone. It probably helped that my father owned guns...lots of them.

If you're being hurt by someone close to you don't stay silent!  You have to tell someone.  Physical abuse is about having power and control over someone, and abusers are insecure bullies who use fear to control their victims. Thanks for sharing this with everyone, and I hope it brings awareness to the physical abuse that can take place when girls don't stand up for themselves.

I can relate to this story and I thank you for helping raise awareness.
