I really wish you would've said more than "a bitter pill" and that it was utterly graphic and horrifying at the end. I'm assuming that the next few chapters will be quite graphic in detail as well so I'm going to take a break from the story and come back in a few chapters and hope that we're in the aftermath.

Thanks for your comments. I will go back and put a disclaimer on the chapters with graphic details; I realize some people are sensitive to such things. I don't know if you've read any of the comments I've made in either this story or my other, but I am a survivor of domestic abuse, and some of these very things happened to me. In a way it's cathartic to write about them; it's hard knowing that there are people who are so brutal and care nothing for the feelings and well being of others, especially those they've professed to love at some point.
I apologize if I offended you; it's not my wish to do anything of the kind to my readers, but in all fairness, this could be my story, embellished a bit.
