Well, it was quite obvious that Carlisle had a problem with Edward, I just couldn't have pictured it going so deep... To a certain degree I think I can get it, being always rejected by his own parents - the people ought to love you no matter what... But if he already felt a pull to medicine thatvearly in his life as he indicated to Edward earlier, wouldn't it have been a logical step to try counseling before getting in a serious relationship? He must have thought about that at some point in his life, right?
A part of me wishes Esme could've been privy to the things Edward heard from Carlisle first hand, because even if Edward is willing to share that, it might be difficult for her to believe it all... Both of them need some time to come to terms with everything that happened "today", but at one point she has to make a decision for her future....
How I wish it was only a midlife crisis and an affair - thst would be so much easier to get through than this :(
And poor Bella... Having so much on her own shoulders already but getting the heat from Carlisle as well. Can I say how impressed I was by her - taking the leadership as needed and caring for both Edward and his mother so lovingly! She might be not the tallest person, but damn length isnt needed to be a strong person ;)

The only good thing I'm able to find in this situation is, that things will have to get sorted now... but I'm worried what will come to light. My guess would be either Carlisle did manage to get the office bankrupt and was trying his best to get it sorted out but got only in depth that much more, or - which would explain the mark Esme left on him by hitting his cheek (well done, btw) - because on top of everything bullshit Carlisle dished out since you started this story, he has an affair and Esme found out about his cheating.
Because Carlisle behavior screams midlife crisis awfully lot....

Somehow I missed this update on time, and I could bite my ass for it!
I think it was kind of a natural reaction for Carlisle to put some of the blame Edward threw his way earlier that day over on Esme... He's been backed up in a corner pretty badly, and usually people in that position leash out at eac and anyone they deem responsible for it. Worse thing is, they do it even knowing its their own fault :(
And of course all she wants is her "normalcy" back, which at this point probably is impossible. I get why she wants Edward to aplogize, because it seems like the easiest way for things to get back to how they were... but that doesn't help either of them, im afraid.
The late call Edward did to little Swan, damn that was a bad hour, but im overjoyed at her reaction! It's so obvious how muh cares for the other between themselves. I was a bit sad that he took her to her home instead of his, but rationally know it was the right thing to do;)
Meeting Renée was pure fun, though. Im sure she's dying to ask Bella quite a lot questions about him and the way he looked at her or behaved;) I know I would...
Movie night... I'm curious how long it will take for her to really cuddle into him, while being at the cinema and if he will receive his own late night call ;)
