I've come across this story in a lot of people's favori lists, I passed it over many times because I had been reading a different type at the time (I tend to get in a kick for reading similar stories like all the mob one, bdsm ones, teen angst ones, different variations of Bella as a supernatural creature etc) but today I decided what the hell and started reading it. I loved that it is well written with good grammar and a lot of humor. While I can think of so many places these characters can go I truley enjoyed your story and hope for a sequel.
I appreciate that you took Alice and rose ooc. To me cannon Alice is nothing more than a manipulative bully and rose is a selfish insecure twit. I also loved the volturi at the end, so hoping that you will at least do a very long one shot of her meeting them!!!

I just finished your Antiques Roadshow story and wanted to let you know how much I thoroughly enjoyed it. The idea was excellent as I thought what a great way for a B/E meeting. Unbelievably you were able to make the B/E meeting that much more when Edward was able to experience human memories that he had never remembered.
It was the first time that I have ever heard of this gift in a vampire.
I loved the Volterra humor in the last chapter.

The decision to be human or immortal was a gut-wrenching one for Bella. She did the right thing, though, weighing all her options, thinking of everything she'll give up, and what she'll gain. I had a sneaking suspicion that Edward and forever with him, would be the one thing she couldn't give up! Too bad it was for such a sad occaision, but important that Edward met Jacob and Charlie. It was especially great that Edward and Jake got along as well as they did. Sure makes things easier to have good relations between the Cullens and the Quileutes. I really laughed at that Clint Eastwood reference, Charlie's got quite a sense of humor! I love the thought reading dynamic between Bella and Edward, by the way!

I was so happy to read your review! I knew I couldn't write every single memory happy, and it sucked to have to write a harsh, unloving father into Carlisle's history - but it does make sense. I was never under the impression that Carlisle's father was a loving kind of man (even though we weren't given much information about him to begin with.) Esme's memory was really fun to write... and referencing Hoarders and Silence of the Lambs made me lol.

Gatlinburg is a pretty neat place to hold an Antiques Roadshow. We went through there in 2003 and thought it a lovely area. Bella gave Emmett, Rose and Edward some wonderful memories. I've never been to Gatlinburg, and I really, really want to go now. When I was doing my research, I was seeing all these beautiful pictures, and I was all "ohhh, pretty."
I think my favorite part about writing this story is the human memories. I LOVE getting to take these characters to another time and place - their ORIGINAL time and place, and it feels that way to me when I'm writing them. It's quite fun, and I'm fond of them. So, I'm really glad you appreciate the memories, and Bella's gift. Bella's still making up her mind, and she's going to continue working through it all. Hopefully you won't get too sick of me telling you how very much I'm liking this story. Edward being nervous and maybe needing an inhaler was so funny. He and Bella are so cute together. I hope she doesn't freak when he tells her about the mindreading, let alone what he is. Can't wait, gotta go!

Nice of the Volturi to be lenient with human mates knowing the secret. Nicer to have his family on board and so happy for him. The idea of showing up wherever Bella is with the show really will be a great way to get to know her. She may be a bit suspicious about how many antiques he owns, but what the heck! Good excuse to tell her what he is, maybe.

I hadn't read many sotries myself that incorporated a Volturi that allowed human mates the knowledge of vampires, and I'm glad I wrote it that way. And Edward's definitely going to be bringing more antiques for her to appraise. He can't get enough of her. :)

This story is great. I love fluffy stories, they help me escape from real life. I hope you plan on finishing this and that you update soon! I'm really enjoying this story.
It's very different to have Edward able to read her mind. I'll be honest, I wasn't too sure about it at first but that fear quickly evaporated. I'm actually enjoying it now.
The law about mates is a great idea. Fixes that James situation right up! Though I'm not sure the Volturi could keep up with EVERY situation.
Still a great idea though.
I hope to press that next button soon!

I'm glad you like that Edward can read Bella's mind. When I outlined my story, I thought I'd be much more satisfied with an Edward who could read her mind, rather than an Edward who was always distracted because of her blood. I definitely plan on finishing this story. My job has been hectic lately, so I've been crunched for time. I'm still really enjoying your story! I've already voted for you and the story at the Shimmer awards and I hope a lot of new readers find your story after looking through the nominations.
In this chapter, I really loved your paragraph where Edward reflected on his "rebellious" years and how Carlisle helped him regain his sense of humanity/soul/self-worth. I'm also really glad you didn't shy away from referring to Carlisle's religious background. Carlisle would have definitely discussed God in talking to Edward about his soul and too many authors avoid such references. Great job!
Lastly, I like the way Bella is handling the mind reading. She's struggling a little, which is to be expected, but she seems determined to make the best of the situation. I'm looking forward to that first kiss!

With the SM books, I always hated how Edward viewed himself, and that he thought he didn't have a soul. I'm obviously writing this in a way that flips most of the canon concepts on their head, and people really seem to like that. So I'm going to just keep doing what I'm doing. Thank you for commending me on not shying away from Edward and Carlisle's religious beliefs. I was hoping people would notice that.
I'm looking forward to writing the first kiss, too! :)
