Yes, he said the one thing to push Bella's buttons, but Bella did the same thing. Bella isn't even dealing with as much as Edward. She should have stayed where she was safe. Edward is not the only one to blame. Bella should be standing right beside him.

Yes, Edward should have not threatened to take the kids, but Bella was wrong to drink until she about blacked out. She wants Edward to be aware of her past. He has to tip toe around her fear of abandonment. Yet she doesn't respect his hatrid for alcohol and what it did to his family. If she doesn't trust Edward then she doesn't love him with her whole heart. Edward didn't say anything the first nights. It was the 5th night of her being a lush. He was scared, yet she didn't care. Everyone is scared to upset poor Bella. I think Edward had to go through worse. He also didn't tell everyone their problems, so everyone will be upset with her. Bella wanted everyone on her side. She was the one having the pity party. She forgot how blessed her life is.
