I'm wiping my tears away as I write this so please excuse any mistakes. This story hit home to men in so many ways. This is basically my grandfather's story (I'm not accusing the author of anything). He married my grandmother in 1958, but not for love, he did it because its what was expected. His real love was his brother in law, his wife's brother. After, 4 years of marriage & 2 kids he came home from work (the local hospital) to find both his wife & brother in law awaiting his arrival. His wife just stood up & hugged him with a kiss to his cheek. Than she said one sentence that changed everything' she said "you gave me a big home, aswell as 2 precious angels, you gave me happiness, you gave me so much, but now its my turn. I'm giving you the one thing I knew you could never give me, love". Than she walked out of the room. Of course he was dumbfounded, until 'George' his brother in law stood up and smoked at him. Long story short, I now have my grandmother Carol, my grandfather Steve AND my grand daddy George. Who had a ceremony on June 14th 1962 to vow their love to eachother . Every June 14th my family gathers to witness my grand daddy & grandfather's vow their love to each other. Thank you so much for writing & posting this. I hope it changed some people's view on homosexual couples. It was beautifuk . Truly thank you!

Awww, so sad and bittersweet. Emmett loses the love of his life and regains a son who is the image of Edward. Alice is right, we keep the ones we've lost alive by remembering and loving them still and talking about them, well isn't that one of the best ways. I have my pitch fork out for Kristen, lol.

OMG I knew just by reading the summary that I was going to be a mess after this one. I was crying after the summary. I don't know how you can make it both hot and sad at the same time. I can't decide if I want to bawl my eyes out or take a cold shower...it's very disconcerting. ;)
