Thanks Delia for your review!  This is my first attempt at posting anything like this, anywhere!  =)  I haven't even read much fanfiction of any sort at all.

Though it is depressing...I meant it to be, I always thought of Snape mostly as a deeply sorrowful man.   Powerful and vindictive yes, self-absorbed for sure, dedicated certainly, but mostly very, very sad.  Crappy childhood, and he lost almost everything the day Lily died.  This is supposed to happen after all that.  So yes, it is a downer, but his whole life is.  I'm glad actually that I pulled that off well!

Just to clarify...did you think the girl in the scene died? I didn't mean it to read that way.  I'll take any feedback you can give, please!  =)

The problem with me posting the actual story is I don't write things in order, so I'm not sure if I should just post chapters and scenes randomly, or wait until it's done...=P
