Be Still My Heart! No worries falling out of my chair now that it is out in the open. Now Jake is the one that needs to worry about his chair. He'll be damn lucky to have a chair at the office to sit in if Edward has anything to do with it.
But right here and right now that is neither here nor there. It does not matter how Edward told Bella of his love. What matters is that she knows she is the one that he loves. In this moment, as we look upon them, there are only two people in their world.
It is time to sit back and let their lives fade to black in anticipation for the next chapter. We just know that the power of his declaration is washing over each of them and the intensity of their feelings is building. It is pretty powerful when a writer can convey that happy heart feeling to her readers. So yeah, I am having a squeeeeeee moment here.

After all it is not everyday we see an eruption on the spot that stems from a personal issue outside the office. And once again Edward steps in prepared for knight duty.
"So, Edward the 'Boss Man'. Thoughts on that? ;)" Are you sure you want mine? As you very well know I get mighty windy. lol. Remember a few chapters back when Tanya said something like what's going on here? There was a look that passed between them and he diffused the situation right away. Can't help but wonder if they were in "negotiations" at that time. Perhaps it was a position he turned down in order to pursue a more permanent relationship with Bella and after her latest let him go ploy he goes for the the promotion. It might be a little easier for him with a no fraternization policy between them. Which makes me wonder if the same policy does not apply to mgmt and Tanya would be free to pursue him. I'd hate to think she would exploit him like that but it could happen. Then again Bella encouraged him to go after Tanya in the first place so I am right back where I started. I may not have any real thoughts of my own but I sure look forward to reading what you have to tell us. *wink* Looking forward to tomorrow. :)

Okay so here is what happened. You know how drabbles are shorter than regular chapters (well duh, of course you do!). So when when I scrolled to the start of the chapter I see - A/N: Oh, poor Bella. :( in bold lettering mind you. My heart sank as I closed my eyes and swallowed in an attempt to keep my wits about me. With all the muster I could garner I bravely went in to see how this would go down. WoW! Just WoW! Oh poor Bella indeed but what about poor Edward? Bee what have you done? I have a feeling he was going to offer Bella his heart. Having misread the signals she tried to let him know it was okay even though her own heart is probably breaking. She is willing to let him soar not knowing that it is her he wants ... and that it never was Tanya. Please tell me you can fix this.
In the meantime if you need an extra person to pre-read the EPOV (I know you have toocute24, and my pre-readers, momma2fan & NeeNee246 but this is a critical and pivotal moment) feel free to burden me with the job. I fully realize that it is a tough job but I am willing to do whatever needs to be done for the sake of your readers and our fandom. Naw, I'm just funnin' ya but I cannot wait to read what he is thinking. All kidding aside ... This was another excellent chapter. ;)

Ah but who could be angry? Here they were not only friends, but BEST of friends. There had to be an underlying attraction for her to be willing to move forward with him as she did. When I look back upon their story and how it unfolded I cannot help but smile. All the times I went back and forth with the was he or wasn't he. When I look back now I can see how much he loved her all along and how he used what he could to his advantage. Did he use false pretenses? Oh hell to the yes. But ya gotta love his spunk and tenacity to get his girl. You once said he did his "research" (don't remember your exact words). It's really quite beautiful how he came to her and in turn he became the lover of her every fantasy. This has been a beautiful story of the discovery of love and I do not want it to end ...... ever.

In your authors note you make reference ... Mmm . . . is he a virgin? He sure as hell is acting like one, but is that his game? Mmm . . . " This reminds me that Clairol hair color ran a commercial years ago in which the question was "Does she or doesn't she. Only her hairdresser knows for sure." And that is what we have here. The suspense has been enough to make the reader look at both sides and some *ahem..me* have tried to sneak a peak inside the bubble of Edward's mind. To say I am excited for his POV is an understatement. I have already compared this to a journey to wonderland where I have followed the white rabbit into a world where nothing is as it seems. Every so often I swear I catch glimpses of the cheshire cat. He smiles and *POOF* in the blink of an eye he is gone as is the case in this chapter. So I sit back, stare at the screen and wonder just what is his game? Once again I recheck the stories genre to assure myself that it still reads Romance/Humor after all it is all about the HEA, right? :)

So the question still remains. Was he or wasn't he? This says an awful lot for your skill to spin the yarn in such a way that it can go either way. There are times that I feel we get a glimpse between the lines and see one thing and there are other times that we see something all together differently. It is all a matter of which is which and I LOVE THAT! With each update notice I take a deep breath going in that is released gradually as I read. (Good thing the chapters are not long, lol.) Each chapter has become a walk within Wonderland and the grin of the cheshire cat is at every turn. But my smile? It is for the beauty of THEIR story as it unfolds.

So I went back to look at my reviews and saw that I was able to add another two cents to a couple of the chapters along the way. I also took the time to scan a couple of the chapters as well. I believe that Bella has been his romantic/sexual target all along as evidenced in the final words of this chapter.
A couple chapters back your response to a review made me step back and think okay maybe he is. But no matter how much "research" he has done I have to wonder about his application of technique. He is just such a far cry from the shy and bumbling virgin. Another thing that leads me to believe he was not a virgin is his desire to make this good for her too. I did not review as a guest so I must have read this one on the cell phone. In this chapter they are out of the shower and he has finished massaging her shoulders. She is momentarily lost to the sensation and he chuckles (with confidence I might add) asks about her taking him to her bedroom. And the tables turn just a little in this chapter too when he asks her is she is having second thoughts. Perhaps he is being a gentleman but he is far from shy in his response. In rereading the chapter I cannot help but notice the butterflies in her tummy. They are so aflutter that she would have missed any signs that not all as it would seem.

Edward was so cute in this chapter. Could not help but giggle when he saw her naked for the first time. He was like a boy in a candy store when he not only got to look but to touch too! Ya gotta love this guy. :)

Notice that he does not respond verbally but rather drops his hands to get his point across.

Okay so I came back into my reviews to see where the wheels could have started turning. Surprise. I did not review this chapter. But look at this chapter when they kiss for the first time... "Edward froze for a slight second when our tongues collided, but rather than pull away, he pulled me closer against his chest before kissing me deeper." ... Is this the kiss of a man that has no idea what he is doing? Granted he has probably kissed a girl before but this is an experienced kiss from a man that knows what he is doing. He is groaning and asking her to go slow. (Within the memory recesses of my mind I think back to the kissing and never once did any guy EVER say slow down as their hands began to grope ... all 8 of their hands I might add.) I have to believe he is asking her to slow down so he can keep himself in check as the charade begins to play out. *looks at Bee with raised eyebrows*

I did not expect this until tomorrow and should have saved my last review until now! I try to find to follow a drabble at all times and feel that I hit the jackpot with Give ME Love. This story has so many of the components I look for in light hearted, fun reading. I laughed and questioned and laughed some more. And of course there were the raised eye brows, the smirks, the wth moments and the love. As their tale unfolded they fell love so did I!
I was not sure how I would feel when this story came to an end. Surprisingly I am okay with it for their tale has been told. In reflection I see the best part of this journey was not the mere journey of Edward and Bella. No, the real journey has just begun. I look forward to reading the stories that have already been written and shared with your readers in the and all of the stories that we may be blessed to read in the future. Thank You So Very Much for sharing this part of yourself with all of us. But even more so Thank You for being You. :)
