How very nice to read a chapter without stress and danger for the family! The best part of this story has always been the family and how much they love and support each other. Except for Alice, of course! It's a shame that the boys are both so happy and their sister is such a mess! It won't be any fun to have to say goodbye to Bella and Edward, their kids and the rest, but I'm glad that they are out of the danger they were in and into legitimate business now!

The whole meeting with Caius was kinda stupid on Edward's part. Not to mention the fact that he had several opportunities to kill Caius from the moment he walked in the door, but Edward choked - let Caius get to him by talking trash about Bella, which Caius KNEW it would. If Edward had been a REAL mafia tough guy, he would've just shot him right away & then there wouldn't have been any trash talk from Caius. Edward's plan from the beginning was to kill Caius, so why pussyfoot around about it?!?
WHY didn't Edward prepare himself by wearing a bulletproof vest or something? And WHY did he not have someone on standby at least - hiding in another room or outside listening in? It's hard for me to believe that Caius would come alone, so Edward SHOULD'VE prepared for that - as well as for what happened!
Edward claims to love his wife & kids so much, & I do believe that he does - he's a great guy. But what I CAN'T believe is WHY he didn't take ANY precautions whatsoever?!? I mean, he has a pregnant wife right now that doesn't need the stress from something like this. Did he even think about that?
It was all just SO stupid & risky! All it accomplished was Caius being killed, but Edward is now severely hurt too! Did he stop to think that Caius' people will most likely retaliate?! I can't imagine that they'll accept this, or take it lying down. It will probably start a war. :(
And for Edward to meet Caius at his own home - STUPID!!! What if the cops got called? How's he gonna talk his way out of that?! And WHY would you want to kill someone in your own home & have that kind of mess where your family lives, if you didn't have to?! None of it makes ANY sense! :(
He could've probably accomplished more just by having Alice killed. She IS the narc & troublemaker - the catalyst for most of the problems with Caius, for the most part. She will ALWAYS be nuts - a thorn in Edward's side - I don't see that changing. :( She would NO longer be my sister after what she's done - not just to me, but to her family.
It's a good thing he's getting out of the mafia business because he's apparently NOT cut out for it! That is, IF he lives. I HOPE he does.
Can't wait for more. ;)

Their security guards/bodyguards, as well as all of the security measures around their house must be pretty lousy, if someone can get that close! Either that, or they have a mole/traitor in their midst.
I wonder if Alice is somehow involved in this too? Could Jasper actually be in cahoots with Alice, all while under the guise of being the suffering, dutiful husband & single father? I wouldn't trust ANYONE at this point! I hope Edward is VERY wise & VERY guarded in ALL of his actions.
Another thing I wonder is, if someone was able to get that close, & watch them the whole time, then why didn't they just take Edward or Bella out right then when they had the chance? Surely whoever it was doesn't have that much of a conscience to care whether the kids were there or not. Most assassins/criminal type people wouldn't give a crap.

That was scary as hell, getting that threatening call after having such a fun time with the kids! They had to be fairly close to have seen what was hoing on in the back yard, and that can't be good!Edward has got to neutralize Caius and his bunch, and do it soon! Something has to be done about Alice, also, though I don't know what it would be!
