No they are not a good item. It will come out closer to the middle of the story, but she dealt with a lot of people telling her she was worng for feeling the way she did and was left behind or ignored a lot so she feels that she has to bend over backwards to keep people from leaving her behind.

I can't imagine going through what Bella is going through and not having my family there beside me. Her family situation seems so bizarre to me. I just hurt for her. I mean, I fully get she's a fictional character, but somewhere in the back of my mind I keep feeling like someone (probably numerous people) have a story very similar to Bella. There are parts of this story I can relate to...but if I hadn't had my family there for me, I would've been a mess. I guess they've always been my rock.

You'll learn a lot more about it at Christmas when you actually see them. It has a lot to do with not talking about those types of things (depression etc.) and the resentment she feels at having to pretend to be happy because her family is happy to forget her problems. It has a lot to do with keeping up appearances, that's something I know a lot about. When you want to talk about something and the people who should support you won't hear it, it makes it hard. Sweeping it under the rug never helps, and that's what it was like, plus being passed back and forth a lot fell between the cracks. I write things I know, things people I love have been thru, or that I have, because so many people suffer in silence...so in a way you are right, there are real life women, most much stronger than I am, who are living this every day. They are the reason I write these stories...so they have a voice. Thank you for the love and I'm back to writing now, so it shouldn't be too long!

Yeah, I can see how :O would sum up most of your reviews right now. Date rape is almost worse than when it is done by a stranger. Knowing the person and being afraid of what they will do if you turn them in is almost more horrifying than the rape itself. I should know.
I am so glad that Bella has let Edward know now what has been going on. And even more happy that she gave the detective the name of her attacker. I am glad Edward was able to get there in time for her as well. Not all victims are that lucky.

No...you'll find out more later, but she was on an anti-depressant that you shouldn't really drink with because it makes the effects of the alcohol more severe ie. blacking out off of far less than it would normally take, and she's been drinking a lot to forget everything that happened to her. No date rape drugs. I have enough babies and prego bella's running around, no little rape babies in this one, I think Bella's been thru enough without that added on. Glad you liked it.

My reason for making Jake the abuser was personal. Although it was nothing like what Bella went through, I had a best friend in college that was very much a Jake to me, and he broke my trust in a way that hurt so much then what actually happened. Sometimes the broken trust is the hardest thing to repair because you have to learn to trust your own instincts as much as you have to learn to trust people or men again. That will be a much bigger part of her journey. There are a lot of topics that are brushed under the rug under the guise of being taboo and I'm a person that believes that by talking about things and making them part of the dialogue between friends and within the family that vicious cycles and years of pain can be avoided. I write what I do to open the dialogue and let people who have suffered know that they aren't forgotten and they do still ahve a voice, all you have to do is find it. I needed it to go on long enough for her motives to be questioned later, but I couldn't let her go on without doing anything for too long because it would weaken her and I needed her to be as strong as possible. Love it! I think this is the first story I've read where Tayna is just another nice, regular girl. Not the girl that Edward'sa into, but nice all the same. It seems like every other story that feature's Tayna presents her as a psyco bitchy drama queen. This version of Tayna seems much more true to the series. Just please keep the story B/E and I'll be set! Can't wait for an update! :-)

Tanya will take a little turn in this story, but not anything super crazy...it'll be justified to her and other readers have agreed so far. I understand making the choice either way, but especially with vamp stories, I don't understand how you rationalize it. B&E are the endgame so fear not!

Wow, I lived in a residential hall all four years of college. There are days that I miss it terribly and others not so much. But this story reminds me of all of the fun I had in college. I worked as desk manager and was practically an RA. Your descriptions put me right back into my chair at the front desk, unfortunately drunk people forget that there are cameras in elevators and I got a few shows I wasn't looking for. But I guess that goes with the territory of going to college in Miami, endless nightlife. Thanks so much for this story! I am going to go daydream about parties and all-floor water gun fights now. lol thanks! :) Excellent job.

Well the angst to come will kill the fun for a bit, but it will return there eventually! I'm glad I reminded you of crazier times...my first school was out of state so I lived on campus but when I transferred there was no housing at my new school, but I studied theater and actors and techies + booze and little sleep equals crazy times! Hope you like what's coming!
