I enjoy the story though I find it very sad that he died so long before her.

I find slightly amusing that Alice wanted Bella to be Carlise's goomah, but had a  thing against Edward giving her money. If was Bella I would be upset with Alice getting me into a set up like that with Carlilse behind my back. It will be interesting what Bella thinks. Especially when she shows up at the wedding.

I don't think Edward should pay Jacob a cent. Bella owes him nothing and I doubt Jake wants to mess with Edward.

Sure they can call the police, but no offense to a small town police force I am not sure if they can handle it. Edward might need to go higher up and he does have connections.
