And I disagree. Bella's not using Edward. He's her best friend and she's afraid to lose him. But smart man that he is, he made sure she can't hide from his feelings anymore. After his confession, she can either move out and work out a visitation schedule or give in. She either loses him now or takes a chance and might lose him later. So, what do you think she'll do?

I am not that surprised about Esme's behaviour since she wouldn't have shown up if she was still the cold-ass b**** from before ;-) I think it's remarkable that she finally stood up for herself and left Carlisle. After all these years it is not easy to do this I suppose, even it has never sat right with her. Better late than never! She has seen that Bella is a good and kind woman and despite her merely non-existent relationship to Edward she mustered up the courage to talk to him and use the opportunity.
I am proud of Edward for listening to her and the fact that he called her "mom" shows that not everything is completely lost for them. Esme knows that she must be careful and mustn't expect too much out of this, but this will give all of them the chance to get acustomed with the thought of her being a part of her children's lives again.
And no, I don't think that Carlisle will show up soon. Or if so, it's only to accuse them of luring Esme away from him. I don't think that he will come to his senses and also they won't give him a chance like they did with Esme.
Now for the next chapter I would say that it is about Emmett and something he has done :-P

OK Edward is a better person then me cause I would have made Esme leave and told her not to come around until I called her. I understand she has issues and is trying to work them out but she was in the wrong to just show up. I get why she did, I know if she called first Edward would have said no, but she was still wrong. I wouldn't want her near my baby until she fixed herself and her relationship with me.
I wouldn't be able to trust her near my baby. What was Bella thinking? As a mother she should have taken Edward's feelings in consideration before letting Esme in.

I'm really waiting for things to get started between Edward and Bella. While its great that Rose and Em seem to be getting together, that should be Edward and Bella.
But I did feel bad for Edward and what he obviously is missing out from his own parents - love and support. Renee is really a great mom and treated him just like a mother should. I'm glad she and Charlie visited for a few days.

This were some nice invaders I would say ;-) Renée and Charlie helped a lot more than they probably think, according to Edward's thoughts. I like the idea that for once Bella's parents are the positive constant from parental side in a story, it doesn't always have to be Esme and Carlisle ;-) Maybe, at some point later on, Edward and Charlie will have some man time and Edward is able to thank him for his calm temper and being a good sample for a dad! This would really enhance the relationship between them, I think.
Now, next chapter I suppose that we're going to meet Esme! You're teasers are simply so good, it's not that you're predictable, but you are able to put a lot of content in few words and this is a talent!
Maybe, when Bella starts to overcome the post-pregnancy hormones, she realises that she also actually like to sleep in a bed with Edward. I suppose that even now she will see that she doesn't sleep as well without him ;-)

It's her parents isn't it. Love the chapter, almost forgot it was update day. I went on vacation right after the last chapter and was gone for a week. I went to Salt Lake City, to see my daughter get her BA in teaching, and then we went to Las Vegas for the weekend and flew out of there on the redeye. Believe me when I say don't ever take the redeye, it has taken me a week to recover. Anyway I had several stories update that I haven't caught up on. Well my oldest decide to born butt first, so the doc said C-section would be better, so I had all 3 of mine that way. When my youngest had her first baby 2 years ago I was there for that. She got induced and didn't move along very fast, until the dr broke her water, then put her in the hot tub, and still didn't move her along. an hour later they put her in the hot tub again, and when the nurse went to check the heart beat her little proable dopler would work right so they got her out, hook her back up to the big one, I had went to get me a drink and walk back in and the nurse said I'll be back in 15 mins to check her. I barely got across the room until she was hollering mom I have to push. I call the nurse and she came back and with in 10 mins my granddaughter was there. It had been 3 hrs since the dr. broke her water, and less than 8 hrs since they had induced. She went from 2 to 10 in 30 mins. All she was trying to do was get where she get the epidural. I know it sounds unreal and believe me it was, she only pushed 2 times. Now she is having her 2nd one in Sept. and my oldest is having one in Oct.. My middle daughter was like me she had both hers C-section, but they were both over 8lbs babys. Oh my girls are 31, 28,and 27. I may be one of you older readers but I enjoy most of these stories, In fact my youngest got me into twilight, and they told me about ff. they used to read the Harry Potter ones, but they don't have time anymore. Anyway I'm glad she had the baby and I hope she realizes that Edward is there to stay. Can't wait for the next update.

My second son was breach for a long time as well, but since I wanted to avoid a c-section at any cost, I tried a lot of hocus-pocus and had a lot of help from my midwife, trying to get him to turn around, and thank god, he did. Wow, being in the delivery room with your daughters must be hard, but it's so great that you did it. You might be on the more experienced side, but I know I have a few readers who are in their sixties. And I can tell you, you ladies rock! See you next chapter with the revelation of the baby's name.

Glad everything was ok with Bella and the baby. Glad Edward's dad did not come and make a scene and ruin their special time. This was totally different from my delivers. The longest labor for me was 4 hours from 1st contraction to deliver. My other 2 were 2 hours and 2 and a half hours. The last 2 were all natural births. Loving this story . Can't wait for more.
