We don't know what exactly Edward is at this moment. Bella's making some assumptions of her own, and we know how that turns out much of the time. I think his pride is definitely wounded but I wouldn't call him mad. I've made a point of saying that Edward doesn't take losses well, especially when he's the main reason behind them. This is the first time she's had to write about it which makes it a little worse.

No hate here......just a sad reminder of a call not too long ago from a friend who had to go through radiation and chemotherapy for her breast cancer. Her husband was greatly affected as well. They are more like family than friends so it was difficult for me and my husband to be so far away as they struggled with their emotions and the constraints placed on their family and daily routines. Thanks God, literally, that she is now cancer free!

I am glad that Esme is going to be fine. I am not that worried about Edward and Bella... Really, this is the first time that they have had to deal with this type of situation (emotions) since being together and relationships are never perfect-no matter how perfect she may think Edward is... I am confident that they will get through this and become stronger. However, it may get a bit uglier before paradise returns, but think of the make-up sex!!

This is definitely the biggest conflict that E&B have had to face but they'll get through it. She knows he doesn't handle losses well but this is her first time covering one which makes it more difficult.

I honestly think you did a great job on this chapter.
Anyone would have reacted the same way Edward did to that kind of news and Bella dropping everything to go when he called, she knew without him saying anything how badly he needed her. And then she made her priorities known that nothing was more important once he called for her.

Even with the warning, the tears came... not just watery eyes, full on tears. But, I am pretty sure they were because of how unbelieveably sweet Edward was. Even with him getting so angry, he was angry because of his love for his mom... *sigh* guh!!! I am not worried...even if it is cancer, Esme will fight it. I am actually a bit more worried about Edward's arm... and this "something bigger" with Bella and Edward that we'll experience in the next chapter.

Edward's arm is A-OK, I promise. It's his non-throwing elbow and won't be an issue. Edward and Bella's experience will spin out of this and it's something they'd have to confront at some point. I hope you like it!

This was a fun chapter! I loved the conversation over the phone w/ Bella, Edward and her parents! That was such a hoot! Charlie and his "hating" of the ENEMY QB!!! Their date was fun too!

whoa nelly! I wanna go to the movies with Edward. We used to have a theatre here in PSL that had tables and couches and recliners and you could get pizza and hot dogs or burgers and fries and pitchers of beer. Run down joint but the best place to "dinner and a movie". Sadly it closed down, this chapter reminds me how much I miss cuddling with the hubs on a couch there.
