I'm so glad you liked it. Giving everyone a happy ending and having readers agree with giving one to Jasper/Emmett/Edward was a hard thing to pull off and still feel realistic. So many readers got pissed at the promise of a HEA and gave up before seeing how the abusers were also once abused and how it's possible to stop the cycle. Thank you for sticking with me thru it all. The novel will not be graphic like TPW. The dynamics of the characters are changing also so it will not just be a repeat of the same story with new names. Everything about the story is changing other than the concept of white slavery/human trafficking. There is no incest in the novel "Darkness of Perfection" which will be out this summer.

OH MY GOD. Carlisle is a sick and twisted fucker. Never in my sickest dreams have I antecipated this. He was in love with Renee, and when he couldn't have her, he settled for her daughter? SICK.
Hallelujah for Carlisle & Demetri's death. Finally the villians are dead & buried six feet under :)
And finally, sweet Edward, Bella's Edward was able to triumph Carlisle's Edward. YAYYYYYYYY.
I couldn't wait to find out the ending, so I skipped the last 13 chapters or so, I was just hungry for the ugly truth. And I was pleased by this chapter beyond belief. I will get back to the skipped chapters, though. I can't let them go until they are read.
I was put off at first by the story (Bella's time with Charlie & James; insert shudder here), but I found myself unable to stop reading. You really are a great writer.
Okay, enough rambling. I'm off to read the chapters. Ciao for now :)

Edward, possessive much? What the hell is wrong with these people? I read a few later chapters of this story, and again I never thought I would say it, but I HATE your twilight men. Seriously, they are deranged and sick. I always loved Carlisle and Charlie, Emmett, Jasper, and Edward. But after reading what they were like (Jasper, and Emmett) at first, I despised them, and (Carlisle, and Charlie)? Unable to utter words concerning them. They are beyond sick and twisted. And the thing is, I can't seem to be able to stop reading.
Again, you shock me with the brutality of the women's reality in your story, and unfortunatly, it happens in real life. Fathers and brothers abuse their kids that way daily around the world, never thinking it's incest, never for one minute waking up their dead, hypernated conscience. And human trafficking is like a mundane, everyday thing with no thinking of consequences or humanity. It just makes me sad and disgusted to have such people in this world. The world really is a cruel place.

Wow this story dark. If i was Bella I would kill Edward. Hit him over the head with a knife while serving him his 'dinner' and i Carlise needs to die he one twisted bastard. This story makes me relise about abouse and human trafficing and how we all think the slave trade ended with emancipation and Abraham Lincoln but we never know how many young women like myself might be in Bella condition. It makes me appreciate my family and the home I grew up in, with parents and a brother who support me in my decisions in life and let me be who i want, get any job that I want and love anyone I want.
I hope edward changes his ways and maybe sets Bella free, i just have to wait till the end. I like Jasper but why no one moved away from Carlise yet? And Emmett annoying and i hate that he so insecure about his own 'manhood' he won't let Rosalie work on cars. Your story shows the Charaters we all know and love in a totally diffrent way which is nice for a change.

I finished reading TPW quite a while ago and though some of it was extremely hard to read, i've always appreciated the story for what it was.
It wasn't until very recently that I fully understood what you, as the author of this story, must have gone through when writing something as painful and controversial as this. I received a PM from someone on ff.n that basically said (in a rather negative way) that she would not read my work because I fic rec'd TPW at the beginning of one of my oneshots. Though I found the message to be rather ridiculous, I also found it to personally offensive to me.
And that was when I realized what you have probably gone through with the negative reviews and messages that you have no doubt been sent. If someone refused to read my work for simply liking this story, what the hell did they say to you?
Now, not only to I appreciate this story, I have come to truly appreciate you, as the author, for sticking through the negativity and finishing TPW - even though it must have been hard. So thank you!

I did face a LOT of pitchfork weilding villagers out for my blood for writing TPW and pushing through to the end inspite of every roadblock or hurdle they threw at me. The fact that TPW is still being 'trashed' throughout the ff fandom absolutely amazes me. I finished this story almost a year ago and its been gone from ff.net for almost 2 years. Out of all the bashing/flaming I withstood I think the stuff that stood out the most to me as completely unnecessary and vicious was challenging my parenting or saying I condone incest/abuse just because I wrote TPW. None of these people have ever met me or my family so I'd like to know where they get off with their attacks. Did they attack Stephenie Meyers for writing about beastiality (Jacob is a wolf), necrophilia (Edward is dead) or pedophilia (Edward is 117, Bella is 17). No one actually thinks SM believes vampires or werewolves are real just because she writes about them, so why would they think I condone the actions of the men in TPW just because I wrote it?
Sorry, sometimes I dust off my soapbox and stand on it. :) Again, thank you for reading my story and for your kind words.

It's past 3 a.m. and I finally finished... Well THAT was a ride.. I think you probably received lots of bad reviews for writing about such a topic, but well, it happens in a real life (well i hope not, but it certainly can be happening), so I don't see a reason why not to write about it.. It was really unique story, I can't say i "liked" reading it (i hope no one liked the first 10 chaps, but still read it - you got what i mean), but I loved you were not afraid for putting it up there - it spoke about so many important things - the psyche of people and how easy it can be broken, how people deal, how people separete themselves psychologicaly from something happening to him, and what big influence do parents have on their childrens.. Your writing was beautiful, the story one of a kind and I think you handled it all just great :) Wish you the best in next projects ;) Oh and I really loved you give them new perosnalities (or at least to boys), it was refreshing and unpredictable.. great :)

I am not even sure I know where to start with this review... I actually read the whole story pretty much start to finish in 1 1/2 days. Saying this story was VERY difficult to read, in some parts, would be a gross understatement. There were times I actually cringed back from my computer screen and felt bile rise up in my throat. I also cried and breathed deep sighs of relief when the horrors would subside. I felt like a survivor just for making it thru reading the text.
I am not even sure I could possibly comprehend what it would be like to survive such horror, and I have experienced some unbelievably traumatic things in my years. I don't think I have ever rooted so hard for characters to just make it out somewhat OK. It seemed that hoping for more, might be too much to ask at times. However, I do appreciate that you did not just gloss over the abuse. I think reading about it, while extremely graphic, gave a tremendous appreciation for what all of the women and children endured throughout the years. I think your story was extremely well written and thought out. I was moved by the strength of spirit you were able to display in your characters, as well as, how much strength and determination it takes to truly break the cycle of abuse.

Thank you so much for your insightful review. Writing this story even harder to write than it would be to read, because I had to make these things happen to the characters. At times it felt like I was causing their abuse (if that makes sense). I'm glad you were able to stick with me thru the horrific graphic beginning. I felt it was necessary to show just how vile and evil Charlie & James were so that when Edward showed up in the story he would be seen as the lesser of evils.
He saved her from them, but only to move her to another level of abuse. I wanted the reader to see that there are TWO victims of abuse; the abused and the abuser. The difference is the abuser has to see the wrong in his actions and want to change to recognize his own victimization at the hand of another abuser. It's a vicious cycle that isn't easily overcome. The abuser has to be stripped bare and rebuild who they are as an individual to overcome years of psychological conditioning & behavior.

Unfortunately, I do not speak English, read a fixed start on the Russian site, he did Interested and because There he laid out slow, but wait I do not like, then had to read here through an interpreter.Because of this, can not say anything about the style of writing, a third of the words had no meaning, but the essence of the story I caught:)
Frankly, after the prologue and first chapter had to miss a big chunk and start with only 11 chapters. Very hard to read.I read and then continued because it wanted to see how Edward will ask for forgiveness:)
And know where some heads with 16-17 fixed me completely captured. I really liked how the changed point of view, Edward's attitudes towards women.And although I think that in life one does not change so quickly, the transformation occurs so consistently and gradually,that looks very realistic.
In short, I liked your story, rmcrms5. Too heavy, of course, psychologically, not every person will overcome him, but catchy. I do not regretwhat they read.

Oh my gosh! That was the best surprise ending! I didn't see it coming until I figured that she had to reconcile with Edward to make the happy ending a true happy ending! When it was revealed that Edward was standing at the door I was all teary eyed. However, I'd say that the most I every cried during this story and I did multiple times, was the chapter revealing the night Edward exploded at Esme when he was fourteen and the loss and humiliation she suffered that night. I was so upset and it was horrible. I wanted to attack Edward for doing that to her. Heck, I wanted to attack them all for her. This story has truly been a trip. I knew in the beginning that Embry was up to no good. It was obvious that Bella came to Charlie through a twisted plan. I had an idea that Carlisle was behind it all. When Renee was talking about Esme's garden in the beginning I honestly thought she made it bigger to hide dead bodies or something...I was really expecting to find out that Carlisle had killed people and that's why the gardens grew. Now on to the epilogue I guess :) I just can't not read on.

Wow Edward is so dense!!! This chapter just makes me want to smack him upside the head and question his intelligence. If you listen to a woman and take into account her wants and needs she'll actually react with genuine happiness. Who would have thought?!! But Edward decides what he thinks is best and misses the mark completely. Gosh I'm so glad to have my rights. The life Edward is offering Bella is pretty much sugar-coated slavery. One question I do have is why Edward seems to foist Bella's medical needs on Carlisle when he's supposed to be a doctor as well? He doesn't seem to offer any medical opinions where she is concerned before turning to his father.

I started a story for Jasper/Alice during their beginning - Better Than Perfect It's on hiatus right now until spring. I have no other plans to write a sequel at this time.
