I do hope Jessica is out of the story. They have enough to deal with as it is now to add her into the mix.
It is going to take a lot of time, patience, effort, hugs, tears, screams, counseling and who knows what else for things to start getting back to normal. They have made such a huge mess, and now it's time to clean up and re-build. Add to it all the new things they will have to deal with and yep, a long way.
Will we hear from Carlie? She is one of the most affected here. So far we know she has been difficult to deal and handle, not a surprise there. But how is she feeling about it? What does she think? One thing is what her family sees and another what's really inside her. How will she be with Bella? With her dad, with everything?
As for Bella's current medical situation, the anorexia sounds as something that is quite understandable and possible. It isn't the easiest thing to deal with, especially given the accident, but it's what her life is like right now. One good thing, she has plenty of people who love her around.

Okay, I started to read this chapter expecting to read about some great post-engagement loving and other bedroom antics, but instead you completely rip them apart. I am sure I am not the only one wondering what happened?
So Jessica is going to use the BDSM argument in her custody battle. First off, whether Bella is there or not, wouldn't she still be able to bring his sexual history up in court. Also, unless she has proof that Edward still practices that lifestyle, he could simply say he experimented in the past but is now focused on being the best father for Carlie. Again, this would have nothing to do with Bella.
Isn't it worse for him to go to court single instead of in a loving relationship heading towards marriage with a spouse intent on adopting Carlie? And how was it explained to Carlie that Bella is suddenly gone and she has to transfer schools...I am sure Carlie feels like this is partially her fault that she is at a new school and Bella is gone from their life. And how could Edward not fight for Bella and just quietly take his ring back, after all the drama it took to get engaged. I understand that Carlie is a child and must be a top priority, but he didn't attempt to find a way to make Bella a priority too. And to me the most unforgivable part is all the Cullens stopped talking to her, not just Edward...She went from family to nothing, and I really don't know how it can be fixed.
Sorry about the rant above. Obviously I love this story and will keep reading to see what happens next, but I had to get some of my frustration off my chest, and now I will hope that better things are to come for Bella.

I'm glad they both seem to want to take the next step, and that Carlie is all in, too. For some reason the pictures he's taking bother me. What IS he doing with them? Are they going to come back to haunt Bella (and therefor both of them)? I would NEVER be comfortable with that, and with the potential Jessica drama it seems kind of risky.
I'm not totally on board with all their D/s stuff, but Edward doesn't hesitate to say/show how much he loves B and can be very sweet. Just seems like there there should be more clarity in how that plays out...for instance, they didn't discuss how much of their getaway would be just "them" and how much would be scenes. He did give her a choice, though, so I'm hopeful they will work through it over time.
I can only imagine what kind of wedding Alice and Carlie will try to plan! :)

The date went great, Seth and Claire got along more than well, and they are meeting again today with Emily in the mix. That sounds promising.
So guys and girls view blind dates differently, I think Edward was being a bit pesimistic, it's not as if guys don't get something good out of blind dates. I guess he was worrying about Claire and Emily, it turns out he had nothing to worry about.
Edward's plans had to be modified, I am glad they did. His thoughts were correct, there are three people in this relationship. Carlie should be part of the proposal. Then they can go celebrate together. If everything plays out okay.

Wish there was some discussion between Bella and Edward how she was slipping into old bad habits and letting herself be run over. I don't think that issue should be swept under the rug.

You left it even cliffhanging than last one!!!! But at a very interesting moment. The hearing is going okay, things for Bella don't look to bad. The evidence against her hasn't been much or too strong, so far, we'll have to wait and see what Heidi has to say.
As for the lock-in, it was a good idea, nothing to get them out of track or unable to just focus on each other. Carlisle telling Edward about what happened to him and Esme was very good. How much did Bella get to know about that? I think knowing that would be good for her too. Life isn't always easy, there are times we all snap and end up saying and doing things will regret. The important thing is to be able to move on after.
We still don't know much of how the Jessica issue is going, I guess Edward wanted Bella to just focus on her hearing for now. Hopefully it will be okay so that they can work on the next huge hurdle that's waiting for them.

Loved the chit chat from Carlisle to Edward, and then Esme told the same to Bella but it was not as descriptive.
The Bella heist was very carefully crafted and went off without a hitch, LOL! I think Tan-Tar-A needs to have a 'Gateway to the Heart' discount promotion, hee hee!
And Alice sending all those letters home...priceless! I'm as nervous as Bella is though, since things could go either way...
...And I'm still hoping that Jessica has no chance in hell in winning anything she wants from the Cullens or Bella...

I went back and reread the chapter pertaining to Heidi, and I'm sure she won't spill the beans about Edward and Bella... after all, she has her own life to keep private.
I hope that Edward and bella get better about communicating, because they can't sustain their relationship with the hot-and-cold they have going. It's time for them to present a united front.
