1). Go back and read the chappy where Edward was on the phone when Emmet Spazzed. He put two and two together with Carlisle on his ass. Bella was promised to Emmet so with Emmet spazzing out Edward overheard and didn't take any chances which would've been explained over the next two chapters. He sensed something off happening also I remember writing that I believe.
2). Because in one of the previous chapters, he was simply just tired of fucking fighting with her. It happens.
3). They were in the same room dollface *grins*

They are still a humaniod looking species, but the skin is grey, the eyes are catlike and they are much taller with longer arms and legs.
