I can't believe that bitch Renee showed up! And that's she's still defending Charlie! I'm surprised she didn't experience abuse by him given his nature. How does she explain having a pregnant daughter and NOT NOTICING IT! How is Charlie going to explain who the father is and then not doing anything about it? Even if Bella had actually walzted into the room in her birthday suit and propositioned him she was still a frickin' minor and that's statutory rape!

I find that I am addicted to this story. Although I have to say I am not very fond of Alice in this one. I am finding her to be extremely self absorbed and I am surprised to see someone write her like that. I have read stories before where Charlie abuses Bella, but never where Renee was indifferent. Thanks for the review! You know, I chatted a little with another author, Newmoonaholic from ff.net, who's also writing an evil-Charlie story. (Hers is called THe Mocking Moon and it's AMAZING!) It sounds crazy, but we both agreed that we actually adore the character of Charlie. My absolute favorite scene in the Eclipse movie is when he steps between an angry Jacob and Edward and tells them to take it down a notch. I make everyone in the house shut up for that scene when we watch it! IDK why there are so many evil-Charlie stories floating around since he's really a sweet character. I guess the setup is just really easy.

And the whole free choice/decision thing is a central part of this story in so many ways. I understand if that makes you not want to read on - I know I already have a lot of frustrated readers elsewhere because of the choices Bella and Edward make later on. Aw, such a great review! I'll try to be better about updating more frequently, I promise! Esme going Mama Vamp would just be awesome...I'd pay good money to see that. Hasn't happened yet in the story, though the idea definitely has merit. Hmm.. So glad you like this Rosalie. I always like her best when she isn't a total bitch, but she's not just another Alice either.

wow i am a little shocked by jacob reaction. he knows her father is beating her but yet he stands by the sidelines. the cullens are trying to get to the bottom of what is going on but again seems bella hasn't had anyone in her corner nor anyone she can trust and the person who she is suppose to trust and love her hurts her who would she turn too. man rough road for bella. where do you turn to. charlie needs help and i am hoping someone comes forward. but hey going on for years and noone has suspected or said anything. seems that would make them all liable and foolish. so of course noone would want to say what they see or have concerns about. they should feel just as guilty for not standing up for a child who has noone to have a voice for her.jacob should be happy finally his friend has someone finally to take a stand for her

Whoa, what a great and long review! I gotta say, if you're upset by Jacob's reaction in this little snippet, just wait till we see him again. I've tried hard not to portray him as an actual villain, but as a bystander who does nothing and whose culpability is certainly debatable.
Trust is going to be a huge thing for Bella as we move forward. Not just trust that the Cullens won't hurt her, but trust that they'll want her around. Just a warning that she DOES end up returning to Charlie, which I've already had very vocal complaints about! But the psychology behind abuse is so twisted, and I wanted to make it as real as possible. Hope this gives some insight! Best!

The Black's are pathetic! THey know the abuse is happening and doing nothing. The Cullen's should snap Charlie's neck. Problem solved. I certainly hope this doesn't drag out. Stories about abuse always seem to be drawn out for too long.
