Perfect and labor does happen that fast. Onset to delivery with my 2nd was 3 1/2 hours of shear agony followed by prefection.

You captured well what it's like to lose a pregnancy like that. I lost my Amber Mother's Day weekend 1989 just like that and delivering her was one of the most heart-breaking things I've ever had to do. Even after all this time it still is painful.

I have an aunt who's a nurse and my mom works in a hospital too, and I know my aunt saw some of those things while pregnant, and she had a lot of complications in her own pregnanvy, and I saw how the fear affected her...it's just so hard to get trhu...

I think you did a fantastic job with chapter. One of my bestfriends had to give birth to her stillborn son at 20 weeks. It was the hardest thing she ever had to do. Its been almost 2 years since, but a couple weeks ago she gave birth to a healthy baby girl.

Oh how sad and I agree how hard it must be to experience that from a professional POV.
I had a friend lose her husband suddenly to an previously unknown medical condition right after she gave birth to her first child. I was only a few weeks pregnant at the time with my first and it was terrifing to imagine losing my husband and raising my child alone. Those fears can grip you and it can be hard to let go of them. You have to but man it is hard to get past them.

Great chapter! I really would love to see Vic and Jake's relationship flourish.
I can totally relate to what E&B experience when they visited the baby supply store. Recently, my sister and I attempted to get our brother baby gifts for his son's highly anticipated arrival. He will be the first baby of our now extended family. So, just envision 2 single 20 somethings walking into Baby's R Us to find a few basic items off of our future nephew's registry. We must have looked like Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchey..clueless, wide-eyed and totally overwhelmed at the infinite number of options of bottles, diapers, cribs, clothing, toys, car seats, strollers... All we wanted was a simple baby blanket and pacifier. My head is still spinning after that experience.
Looking forward to reading more, you do an amazing job factualizing your story and your knowledge really shows. For those of us newbies, your story is a great read and also educational! Thanks :)
