Man another stellar chapter! Always leaves me wanting for more. WTF is with Renee, I have no clue as to why she is the way she is. Backstory with that sometime maybe? I feel for this Bella, so much inner turmoil. Same can be said for your Roughie but he is way more complex. I look forward to finding out more on him and Josie. It does seem that they are both replacing running with what they truly want to be doing...which is eachother. It's interesting that he is reaching out to Bella the way he has been doing. Although it seems that makes him worse. During his panic it seemed that he became more anxious when she touched him, strange. This story has me all over the place with trying to figure out what is going on and why and how they have become this way. Such tension, both sexual and emotional and it is going to be epic when it explodes! Thanks for the update.

Wow, what emotional upheaval they both seem to live with, it's like their so alike and I'm thinking Edward has figured it out a little bit, what with asking to be friends but Bella is pretty slow to understand what she's feeling or at least more resistant to acknowledging what she's feeling. She can be pretty mean herself, Edward gets the bad rap but that was pretty harsh on her part {IMO} to just curse at him and attack his motives for friend request.

Where I would Google him to see what info is out there on him, I can understand why she does not. She is trying to move on, not get more invested. Still tortuously slow reveal. I keep waiting for it to happen, but I don't know what it is.
So his daughter is alive yet not with her father. She is a sensitive subject that can trigger panick attacks in him. Why? Who is her mother? Is he divorced from the mother of his child or were they never married? Obviously he does not have custody, did he lose visitation rights as well? So many darn questions and not enough answers.

What an unbelievably great chapter! I don't know how you keep making each one better than the last. The first part of the chapter, about Bella as a child was just heartbreaking. That was a truly incredible piece of writing. And the way you have Bella talking about Edward..."If he knows that he bleeds control into a room just by being in it."...you just blow me away! I know Edward realizes that something is really wrong with Bella, but it doesn't sound like he has truly healed himself. I have to admit I was shocked when he lost it there at the end of the chapter. How on earth are you going to fix these two horribly broken people? I know you won't let us down. Thank you for this amazing and powerful chapter.

Holy cow! For this kind of prose, I'll wait forever. I can't begin to describe the impact each word had. Every word felt intended to provoke a reaction, not just from Bella or from Edward, but from me, the reader. The pain was palable and heart breaking. Bella is so disconnected from herself that she doesn't even realize it. I think her out of body experience was the first feeling she's ever had. Or so I think. I tend to take FF too seriously sometimes.
At this point, I'm not particularly interested in Edward's issues. He accused her that she didn't know what she was forgiving him for. But, what exactly was he asking for her absolution of?
