awww! so many misunderstandings. Poor Bella.
All I could think was what a waste of a bath :) now they're even dirtier...
What an adjustment she has to make. She is not an ungrateful person or a spoiled brat, just someone who is accustomed to another lifestyle. I like that she was feeling guilty about Charlie having to sleep on the couch and that she was suprised and ashamed when she realised how much work it takes to prepare a bath. This all shows good character.
Edward is right about feeling guilty, Bella might have wanted it but his timing was not the best. She is not in the right mindset. If Wallace hadn't interrupted she might have lost her virginity in a dusty, abandoned house and they both would have regretted that afterwards.
I was hoping that Charlie would get a position offered in Forks as Chief so they could leave this dusty hellhole but now that Carlisle is coming I guess they're all stuck there :)

I love this story. If there is no running water there must be an outhouse and a chamber pot. My great grandparents had that. I remember the first time I ever stayed ther. They also had a tub in the middle of their kitchen for Saturday night baths and washing clothes in. They did have running water in the kitchen sink but it was only cold water. I loved being there but it really was kind of miserable now that I think about it. I love the pictures that you usually post as well. Merry late Christmas

I really wanted to be in on the joke with him but I must say in this chapter I am soooooooo team Bella!! Especially after seeing that chore list... I mean I am a person who likes to vacuum, re-organize drawers and clean the kitchen to relax but that list almost made me faint. Lol!
I am glad that she had her talk with Charlie. He was a bit harsh with her. This is far beyond s rep down from what she is used to. There is no water in the house! She has to churn butter! Lmao!
Also kinda felt bad for her when she wasn't sure about Edward's thoughts about her. She is not spoiled in my opinion just terribly sheltered and naive. I have a feeling he will do a lot of making up to her in the coming chapters since he will be digging his own grave for a while with her.
