In looking at some of the reviews that included comments about how Edward forgave Bella too easily, I can't help but shake my head. I thought love was supposed to be about forgiveness rather than retribution. Certainly, Edward was hurt but I don't believe trying to make Bella feel worse than she already did would have made Edward feel better. Maybe if we were more concerned with love and forgiveness then this would translate to healthier relationships in real life.

As the mother of a daughter who was molested by an older boy at daycare, i find the use of "little girl" and "play with your little girl" incredibly offensive and disturbing. Maybe it is supposed to be a cutesy term for female genitalia (along with kitty, which I also dislike), but for people who hav been affected by sexual abuse it just strikes a really raw nerve.
I have discontinued reading several stories for this very thing, but I haven't with yours cause I love the story! I know that you are probably just saying "get over it you over-sensitive ass" but I had to say something after all of these chapters. I would love to read your lemons, but I can't because of this.
Once again, Constructive criticism. It is your story-this is just something to think about.

I have opted to change the terminology referring to that portion of Bella. However, I do understand that this is an angst story and you have to expect things like that and I really do like that you kept the separation fairly short compared to some! I did not mind this chapter until the last lines. Really if I was Edward, I would make her chase me, I would have tuned on my heals and walked away. She made herself quite clear on what she wanted in life. I understand him wanting to take her back, I am all for it. But making it this easy for her, I am not sure any man would.
Firstly she assumed someone touching his hand meant something without her confirming it before running away like a child.
Then she would not stop and listen to reason, when everyone was telling her what she saw, was not what she saw, again talking to everyone like they were idiots and she was correct.
Then she ran away like a petulant teenager thinking she knows everything, and everything she knows is correct.
Then after all of this she sits in her rooms, closes herself off from the world for a month… feeling lonely calls her friends and still chooses to not believe what they are saying even though they have only repeated what they told her a month ago.
Then goes home and mopes there like the petulant teenager she is still acting like and in the process she want to know what is happening with Edward, but acts all nonchalant about it.
Then goes to his parents’ house even though she does not want to, and think he won’t turn up. Who does not turn up for his father’s birthday when you are as close as this family… really Bella pull you head out of behind!
After all of this he still hugs her… I don’t think so!
There cannot be a happy ever after for the next chapter. There really has to be some realistic word said to Bella for her to realise what she did. I am all up for the make-up sex, but I am sorry it would not happen within a few hours.
Maybe a few weeks or a month, but a few hours or days… that is not real, ordinary people would have to jump through hoops like a poodle. I understand this is fiction, but at least make it seem real. Not everything is all rainbow and sunshine all the time, with soft kittens.
What I am say is I would like to see Edward just get angry and tell Bella what she really did to him.

I hope he really does not take you back so quick. You should be on your knees begging him to take you back. Anything less would be unrealistic.
I have to say that her friends were too lenient on her as well; I am amazed the way Edward family reacted to Bella. It only took one time for my brother’s wife to walk out on him, for me to not like her anymore. I treated her like another sister and she wanted to go any play happy families with another guy, which only lasted 3 months and she was back at my brother to forgive her. When they got back together, my whole family let her know how we felt, there was, no ring and apologising for the words we spoke to her. She broke my brother’s heart and took his child away from him.
Bella did the same to Edward, broke his heart, his brother should not have been that nice to her, they betrayed Edward and so did his parents. Yes be pleasant to her, but invite her to Carlisle Birthday, was taking it a step to far.

Once again drama when there should not be, Bella should have done to Leah what she did to Jacob, but instead acted like a pansy and took off running. Now Edward has to go chasing like a girl.

Ohh another one... Counting your chickens before the hatch. He was sitting at a table talking to Leah and he held her hand, he could have picked it up for a second and congraulated her and then let it go.
Get off you high horse Bella, you made an idiot of yourself and your acting like a my neice and she is 3 year old.
No wonder your relationships dont work your a runner. At the slightest bit of trouble you pack a bag and run, instead of standing there and fighting for what you want.
I have to say I really like this story until this chapter, it show just how immature your Bella is and I thought she was stronger than that, after all she had be through with Jacob, you then change her to be this weakling, that is so not the Bella I have been reading up till now.
You did wrong by your Bella in this chapter.

Now I may have freaked out just a smidge, but I definitely couldn't give up on this story. I have the utmost faith in you and you said it is going to be short, well the I am sticking around for the reunion dammit. I am glad Edward laid down the law to Leah though. I am not sure who I feel more sorry for at this point - Edward or Bella. I can't wait to read more and find out how it will all work out. Thank you B&C...I needed that about now. The reviews HAVE been harsh but hopefully I will redeem myself here in the next few chapters. They do not stay apart for long. I appreciate the fact you call it a "rough patch" as opposed to the "Bella is too insecure". Because I don't see it that way at all. I really wonder what some of these women would do if they saw their man holding hands with an ex fiance. You see, for me, I don't publicly spar with my mate. If my man is sitting with another woman, holding her hand... if that's what he wants, I will not fight him over that. You can't win. If his mind and heart is somewhere else...you just can't win. Most of the time I side with Bella, but she's being COMPLETELY irrational. This isn't how things work in a relationship, you talk to each other and figure out what's going on. To be honest I think this story is just alright, I understand that this is Edward and Bella and they're destined to be together and all that crap but seriously, they met and two days later they were declaring their love and then five days they were moving in together. Maybe that's how you planned it so that they would have these problems now, but then it seemed a little farfetched...

Well, I'm not sure how I would feel if I was in my boyfriend's town, seeing him sitting there with his ex enjoying himself, holding hands. I'm not one to stick around either. I won't fight with another woman over a man. If he wants her, she can have him. I go home and that's what Bella did. But I didn't say I wouldn't have a broken heart over it tho. Each one of us deals with a broken heart differently.

Yeah, she could put her big girl panties on but maybe in the middle of the restaurant is not the place to do it. So she went home, not a big deal. But after she gave it some consideration, she felt Edward needed to revisit his affection for Leah since he seemed to be enjoying her company. She gave him some space to do that.

Well hell woman! Although I think Bella may have overreacted just a wee bit, I can understand why she did. I would have done the same thing - of course I am a drama queen. I don't necessarily think Edward still has any feelings for Leah romantically speaking. That said, to Bella it certainly looked that way. I am assuming Edward will be doing some massive grovelling to get Bella to come back. Ugh...the drama!!!!!! Ah, JessJess...Edward loves her. He always has and always will. It's one of those hiccups every relationship suffers. Maybe not quite the same as these two but there isn't a single relationship out there that doesn't have a little something going on in it.

You can't write Tanya out of the story! She (and probably her father) obviously have a lot at stake. Tanya was obviously spying for monetary reasons and won't possibly give up that easy. Not to mention her daddy who won't want to lose.
Jacob is playing with fire and about to get burned. I can't imagine the American Bar Association wants an attorney on drugs and out of control. Who would want to hire a lawyer who has an order of protection sworn out against him?
