It irritates me nearly as much that Jessica is so nosy, as that Rosalie is still offended by Bella's humanity, and her relationship with Edward!

Inadvertently, Bella pushes each situation just a little bit further into Edward's comfort zone. His response is so subtle that it takes Bella a moment to realize she has made some form of action that puts Edward on guard. More progress! A true friendship is forming. A great foundation for Edward to work from when he finally explains to her that she is his singer/mate. Has Edward discussed this fact with Carlisle yet?

I like your approach to this phase of their friendship. Bella's questions literally start from the beginning. Edward's concerns are focused on the pathway of Bella's thought processes. She is still an enigma to him when it should be the other way around.

A week apart will be too long for both of them. I have a suspicion that Edward will be visiting her room before Friday.
