tho i see and understand how the story - and ur family's - has a romantic side .. i find myself really angry at edward .. volunteering and putting himself in direct danger even if it was to get back to bella earlier was so selfish and stupid .. amd if he wouldve be killed or wounded so badly that he would be handicapped for the rest of his life ... what then ... would he have felt worthy of bella ... what if bella had put herself in danger to b with him .. it just pisses me off that he did that and didnt bother to tell her b4 during or after ... what an arsehole ... yes i get it was what men did then .. making decisions and thinking they knew or even still know best but still leaves me really angry
Author's Response:
Well since this Edward is heavily patterned after my own father, and he made the decision to go into the war zone in order to return sooner to my mother, we will have to agree to disagree on whether he was being stupid and selfish. He was in his twenties, and maybe a bit rash, but never selfish. My dad was a very selfless person, always putting his family before himself, and that was the way he lived his life until the day he died.

Great story! I like how it mixes elements of the time period with enough humor to keep it from feeling too dated. You sound like you have a most interesting family. My dad, who had a year of medical school, got drafted at the end of Korea and spent his time in the middle of NYC doing intakes on new soldiers. I look forward to whatever you have coming next.
Author's Response:
Thanks very much. For now, I'm concentrating on finishing my 2 works in progress. After that, I will be starting the sequel to "Wrap You in My Arms".

That was a BEAUTIFUL story! I loved it! It was made even better by knowing how much of it was based on real people and real events. Thank you so much for sharing your crazy family history with us!
Author's Response:
You are very welcome! And thank you so much for reading. Yes they are crazy...and I much prefer that term over 'dysfunctional'. lol

Thank you for this story. You did such a fine job of weaving your family's history into this tale. And I love the picture you painted of this period...so well done...honest and truthful.
Again, thanks.
Author's Response:
Thanks so much! I only hope I did my parents' relationship justice. They truly were the perfect couple. :)

This story has completely captured me! I eagerly await and hope for speedy updates. I'm dreading the end but I can't wait to find out the whole story that it is really based on. I would even suggest writing an actual sort of biography and try to get it published. Just idea, I know its a book that would interest me just as much as this story!
Author's Response:
It's complete now. Thanks so much! I'm glad you're enjoying it...the real life counterparts of these characters are very dear to me.

I remember this from christmas. It reminded me of a cross between some of the old movies and novels like Pride and Predjuced, especially the way Bella describes her sisters and her parents. I am looking forward to hearing the rest of their story.

Thanks! Hope you like this expanded version.
