Pancreatic cancer is a real bitch. I had an aunt who died of it. She was in her 70's but still had a lot of life in her before she became ill. She was given six months but we had almost a year with her and that was with no chemo. Her greatest concern was her hubby cause he was not in great health and she was one of those old school wives who had always done almost everything for him. Late one evening he got up to go to bathroom and had massive heart attack and died. Her reaction was that God had taken care of her biggest concern and now she did not have to worry about anything anymore and could go peacfully which she did a couple of months after him... Thanks for sharing your touching, sad story. Strength to your friend...

I went back to FB page and watched the video which insipired this.. You've done an excellent job of capturing that in words.. 

Enjoyed your story so much. It had such a "feel good" aura. Your smell of Tanya's house reminded me of a joke/story years ago and I wondered if you had as well and that's where the idea came from.. in the origianl, the man and woman divorced after finding the husband had an affair. He was a real SOB and informed her that his mistress would be moving in with him. The wife was so hurt, the only thing she took with her were her clothes. She left all the contents of the house to him along with a pound or so of shrimp which she left in the hollow parts of curtain rods. Of course the smell became unbearable. Cleaning crews/exterminators etc were hired to find the cause of the offensive odor. He decided as a "good will gesture", the ex-wife could have the house while he & his new girl moved into a new place but took everything including curtain rods with them. it was said the girl left him after the 2nd or 3rd move..

I think Bella's trying to come to terms that she's having to "pay" for a date and having a normal reaction as is Edward to being referred to as a hired escort. Seems they do have a bit of a connection though even via phone.
