Oh no no no....I don't have a good feeling about Alice & Rose driving back to the cabin/hide out from Edward's house. Leading James/Laurent right to it....and only Edward and the ladies there without any ammo for protection.

The parents' reaction - good job writing that as it gave me a strong negative reaction to them. I've seen that type of mental job from people who expect someone else's special day to follow their rules, instead - screw them. Didn't expect to see that from Esme and Carlisle, but interesting twist to the story line.

Alice & Jasper - nice story line twist there, too.

What a roller coaster ride. You really get my heart pounding with your writing. So glad how you resolved this chapter.Edward behaved in his typical Edward way - doing what he thinks best, but not clueing Bella in, yet working to keep her safe and Carlisle in the shadows as much as possible.

Looking forward to reading your next chapter to get the answer to Esme's garden.

I'll make a guess that it might be Paul who feels that Bella is his imprint.

Got to love Emmett when he's right and wity.

Chapter was good. Morning sickness - it's the pits, and for some of us it's not limited to "just mornings". I had 7 months of feeling like the flu with one of my pregnancies. FYI - most American hospital stays for natural births is 1 to 2 nights - MAX. In reality, Victoria could have been released to the Cullens by the time James arrived. However, killing off dirt like James's character works.

Ha ha ha - the irony of Charlie's reaction. Funny sideline to the story line.

I loved this mind twisting story the first time I read it elsewhere. So glad to see you bring it over to TWCS.

I get it. I had to go combing back through all of the other chapters and make an age timeline for both Bella and James, but I see all of the hints you've been weaving through the story.

Bella was 6 and James was 10 when Charlie helped Victoria and James leave James' abusive father in Forks and move to Phoenix. Unfortunately, James lives through hell for the next 6 years with Laurent, his new step-dad, followed by 2 years in foster care (more hell?), then enlisting in the Marines at 18. Does James blame Charlie for everything that happened after they left Forks? Does James want to hurt Charlie through Bella?

When Bella was 19/20, she graduated from police academy, joined NYPD, and started *dating* Carlisle. James was probably newly released from the Marines at that time (after doing 4 years - but you haven't included his Marine records in the story, yet, which the FBI/Bella should have) and is 24 yrs old.  For whatever reason (yet to be disclosed), he's obsessed with Bella and begins a raping spree of 10 NYU grad students - who are just like Bella. Was it because James was stalking Bella in NYC and hated that she was dating Carlisle, or dating anyone for that matter? Is it because Bella is a police officer? At 24 yrs old, James is arrested by Bella for the rapes, he does 5 years and gets out of jail at 29 on a technicallity. (What's the technicallity?) He then starts on a raping/murder spree on the west coast, starting in Seattle. James is now 30 and Bella is 26.

However, James has a lot of money - where did that come from? His biological father? Who is his biological father in Forks? Did James quietly kill his biological father and subsequently inherit his money?

I really look forward to your daily updates - thanks! So looking forward to tomorrow's chapter to see what Charlie has to share. Hopefully fill in what happened to James/Brandon when he lived in Forks until age 10, hopefully fill in about his bio-father, and fill in what ties James/Brandon still has in Forks.

Hmmmm. Quitting? I wish Esme would help her see that it's more like "a need to change jobs and environment". Quitting is giving up and sitting at home; changing jobs is just that - doing what she does best, but in a different way and different environment. The affects of her torture would impact her ability to perform in the field, and everyone should understand and respect that. The other characters should reflect that if THEY had been receiving the torture, would THEY have just been able to return to the job and carry on as if nothing happened??? Nope. They shouldn't expect that of Bella, either. Hopefully one of the characters will have enough common sense to point that out to the other meatheads when they start giving her a hard time about leaving the team.

Whiplashward - emotional rollercoaster. Even after her explainations and proof of what happened, he's still rude to Bella....interesting. I'm sure you have more to the story of what makes Edward tick. Jack is mature beyond his age - priceless. I wonder if you'll include an Edward/Esme/Carlisle heated discussion in the next chapter, to discuss Edward's rude behavior to Bella.

Esme and Edward's story - wow, and yet it makes so much more sense. And it explains why Edward and Emmett look so different from each other.

Love your story and characters. The memory book was a wonderful idea to include in the story. So much for Edward to handle in a short period of time.

The end of reading Parachute?!?!? Sad, sad day it will be. Have loved, loved, loved reading this wonderful story. I love how you created Bella into a such a wonderful mother to Jack and love your Jack character. What a wise crack kid to be around. Edward had quite a journey to take to change and be a better person, but he eventually got there.
