This chapter gave us marvelous depth into the characters. Edward is still carrying that chip on his shoulder while Esme is deeply upset that her teachings on civility to her son have gone by the wayside. Rose has that same chip and lots of hurt while Alice has managed to still be civil and smart - and Emmett? Emmett is Emmett, God bless him! I have a feeling Bella's "home life " is more of a hell than he believes. She said she has a year to "prove herself". Or what? She gets married off instead? I love your work here and all your other. Edward is a jerk right now, and I cannot promise that there will not be times you hate him, but don't lose faith we never have a non HEA and this will have one too. Edward does need to pull his head out of his bottom. Bella's story is not easy to understand, but when things start coming out, you will get a better grasp of her lack of care for the money she has.

Fascinatingly fun! I especially love the twist here on places in society. Here, Bella is the wealthy one and the Cullens are middle class. Characterization should be more than interesting then. Who is different? Who's character transfers rather the same as SM's. I look forward to this as it seems here, the Cullens have the stronger family unit and Bella's is not. Just a guess.
