There is a significant age gap, but I'm not one who thinks this is bad, either way. So if Edward was 31 when she was almost 16, he must be 33 now to her 18. I'm very glad they're friends first as when the romance hits, it will make it both more comfortable and more surprising, I think. This will be short, you said, right? Under 10 chapters? Am I wrong? We would never kill off Edward or Bella in a E/B fic, unless they died later in life ... there is a character death in this fic, but it is not a character you hear a POV from.
