Some reconciliation! Jake laid it on the line and gave Edward that figurative kick in the ass he needed to get over his never-ending angst. I'm with Alice, he thinks all the problems in the world are his fault. Good Grief! I was proud of Bella for telling Edward just what he had really done wrong that day in the woods. It took that to get the two of them straightened out and back where they belonged, together.

Bella doesn't realize Edward still loves her, just as she still loves him. It took a lot for Bella to tell what happened with Charlie and her. Trust Rosalie to come right out and ask. It puzzles me about Nessie. A nine year old would likely be killed by the Volturi as an immortal child, perhaps. She seems able to control herself, so maybe not.This is quite a different story, but intriguing.

I saw this on the Just A Sip section and I love Bright Star, the movie, so I decided to read this to see if the title was a reference to the film and I was excited to see it was!
My only complaint (if you can even call it that) is that it sounds like Renesmee is an immortal child - "thought of the nine year old as something else". I feel bad for Jacob because she's never going to get any older so their relationship can't really go anywhere - well at least in public. And even if they were together in private, it would still be pretty weird for Jacob, no matter how old Nessie really is. And since she is so young, there's no way she would be able to escape death from the Volturi if they found out about her.
However, I really like the plot. I love how it's actually quite realistic - it's not some out there plot, and could very possibly happen in an alternative New Moon.
My heart also broke for Bella when she was describing what happened with Victoria and her father. I really like how she has lots of visible scars in a really cruel way because when Edward sees her, he's going to go crazy. (DISCLAIMER - I love Edward, really. I just also love angst as well and there's nothing better than an angsty Edward ;))
Anyways, really looking forward to read more xD

Yeah, I studied John Keats poetry for Romanticism this year in school, so I decided to use one of his lovely poems! Bright Star was a great movie, I loved the style and cinematography...the lavender fields, ahh!
A few people have been a bit "but NO!" when it comes to Renesmee's age and the implication that Jacob may imprint on her - it's left up to the reader. In the next chapter it's stated how Victoria made sure Renesmee was deemed old enough that the Volturi wouldn't come looking.
I'm glad you are enjoying the plot - I love B/E too :)

Hey theladykt! Thanks for reading and reviewing Bright Star :) Ooops, I'm sorry, I didn't make it very clear - Alice can see the actual wolves, but they make her vision "blurry", the black netting Edward mentioned in chapter 1 is what Alice sees.

I am a bit saddened that Renesmee is a 9 yr old vampire. Kind of limits her relationship with Jacob! I am glad Edward realizes that she is not the same girl who he left. In over a hundred years, did he not learn that you can not anticipate what life is going to throw at you? I guess he was too relaint on Alice's and his gifts. I always have wondered why in the world he wouldn't want Alice to check on her future after he made his decision to leave? I am so curious as to what road you will have these two take!
