I came across "You Came Too Early" and couldn't stop reading!
It's just written so realistically and deeply emotional without being over the top!
Usually I'm not a fan of matching a story or even a chapter to a certain song, but there were parts I couldn't stop thinking about a song from a German singer: Tommy Reeve's "I'm Sorry". At least in my opinion the lyrics fit to Bella's and Edward's situation so perfectly that I would like to recommend it to you. Maybe you can google it and give it a try.
Anyway, I'm so excited to read on!
P.S.: I'm sorry for any grammatical errors, but I'm German and don't speak English regularly.

I know that Edward was hurt, but to still hold Bella accountable for words said in anger and exhaustion isn't quite fair. Their communication was awful all along. I can empathize with Bella's inability to tell Edward about her love when they were young but what kept him quiet? Telling your wife that you love fucking her when you never said you love her will obviously lead her to feel that there aren't any romantic feelings on Edward's side. I also hope that Bella holds him more accountable for never sharing his dreams about his music with her before sending the demo out. It's not a hard conversation to tell her about the opportunity before going after it. But I guess leaving her with the sick kids is easier. She's taking too much of the blame. What I really want to see is Seth kick some sense into Edward now when he will actually listen. Frustrated sigh.
I am very invested in this and love how you write. Thanks for the update!
