The secret's out. Edward really was in a no win situation with this where Alice was concerned. Hopefully, given time, she'll realise that he did what he thought was best for everyone. Carlisle took the news better than I thought he would, I'm amazed he's standing by Esme but then they've been together for alot of years and I should imagine more of them were good than bad. James obviously has never been taught the most valuable lessons of all or he didn't care, never bite the hand that feeds you and don't pee on your own doorstep. So now Edward has all this to deal with and his demon.

So James and Esme did have an affair and Alice was the result. Oh my God! If Alice found out she would be devastated and it could destroy her relationship with her mum completely. I feel a little sorry for Carlisle being decieved and betrayed in that way by his wife and his brother. I still have to wonder about Carlisle's attitude towards his wife. Why does he stand by and watch her drink herself into oblivion every single day? Does he know? Did Esme cave in under the weight of her guilt and confess to Carlisle? There has to be something going on between them for this to be allowed to carry on. You try to help the ones you love, not turn a blind eye.

Oooo, did Esme and James have an affair and Edward walked in on them? I like Carmen she's very perceptive and she's right when she says that Edward still has a heart, he should listen to that where Bella's concerned but I also think Bella will work her own kind of magic on Edward as well. I loved the pillow fight, we caught a glimpse of the fun loving and carefree Edward that he probably was as a child before his 'responsibilities' took over.

Edward has more humanity than he gives himself credit for. I'm glad they've talked and laid their cards on the table, so to speak. In Edward's line of work you really can't sugar coat things and Bella has to know what she's getting herself in to especially after what she's been through. I'm really glad as well that she was able to be honest with Edward and tell him that she wants him. She's a strong woman and she's going to need to be to be a part of Edward's life, I think as well that being direct with each other is going to be key for them instead of skirting around a subject or a problem.

Why doesn't he try to stop Esme from drinking and taking drugs? The first paragraph made me smile and I think you identify with that paragraph as well as I do. As a single parent of a daughter that once she learned to talk she never shut up, I revelled in her bedtime and the quiet it offered me, my brain needed the break. What makes me laugh is that she even talks in her sleep, lol. Needless to say I related to that paragraph even though I'm not an assassin, hahahaha!!

I'm pretty wimpy when it comes to angst. You had me hooked from the first chapter, so I couldn't help but keep reading. This is probably the most intense story I have ever read. And I completely understand why you put up so many warnings. I am not complaining by any means. This was probably the darkest Edward I have ever read and surprisingly he was just human. I have read a lot of mob/mafia stories and NONE of them were this graphic. Thank you for the HEA. I don't think I would have survived without that hope, lol. I am so happy to hear from you. I really loved Edwards Clan but to hear that you are ending it in the next chapter saddens me. As I seen a lot of suffering from both Edward and Bella when she was captured then when he had to save her, then to find out he was going to be a father he treated her like shit. So to say they have no time to get back to the way it was is just depressing. I would never be happy with just one or two chapters to believe that they could be really happy again so even if you wrote it, I would not feel it in the reading.
As for your break in writing, well I think you should have told us this a long time ago instead of us thinking that you just didn't care, or maybe that is what you were trying to say.
Nevertheless, I will stick to the end of this as I will not abandon you because of your choices. I truely do love the story.

I wish we'd have gotten at least one more chapter of Edward and Bella working things out before we jumped to one year later. I still think he was a bit hard on her and didn't take enough blame for how she ended up after he left her but all in all, not a bad wrap up to that part of the story. On a side note, maybe add in at the top of the chapter that there was a time jump, it took me a minute to figure out.
I'm really loving the progressive crazy of Demetri. It's fascinating and hilarious. I kinda wish Edward got to make due on his promise to kill Tanya though. Honestly, I think I just wanted to her him tell her off again. I don't think I'll ever get tired of that in fics.
Why does Carlisle hate Bella so much? I mean, side from anything to do with Edward he just seems to hate her as a person. Is there something really about her he doesn't like or does he just hate her on principle? You'd think with all his recent revelations and the fact she birthed his grandson and brought life back to Edward he'd be able to see how silly he's being if the latter is the case.
I'm also sorry, I've meant to review more than the sporadic times I have as I've been reading. Really, it's your fault though. I've been very addicted to this story and have read it all in one day with my eyes glued so hard to the screen I couldn't stop myself from instantly clicking to the next chapter. Try not to write such an addicting story next time. ;)
Can't wait for the next update. I understand life gets busy so I'll be patient. I'm also really excited you are going to do a sequel! I'm so totally there! :)

I understand what Bella did was incredibly stupid and Edward should be mad, but I think he's making it bigger and into something it isn't. She didn't just up and leave him because she was unsure of their relationship or commitment. While yes, she made the wrong choice it was a very specific situation. We can not expect Daddy C to just roll over and be Mr. Nicey Nice all of a sudden regardless of what transpired, he does see alot, and has opened his eyes to things like he said, but he is still Carlilse....
I love how the Demon loves Bella too... for some reason that is what has always endeared this story to me... well along with many, many other aspects but that something so demonic could have goodness and love, well it does give one hope, right!
I just think it is so cute and comical that Aidan only says Dada.... come on now everyone that is pretty funny considering... And Loved Loved Loved the fact Edward went to Ireland to get a Priest to marry them for Bella's benefit since she loves Ireland so much.
