I understand he has to leave to try to kill all that is left of the Volturi but I wish with everything that he could be there when Bella delivers his child. A baby is usually such a happy event especially for people who love each other. It's a shame because of circumstances and who they are prevents them from both forgiveness and happiness.
I understand why Edward can't rest until the threat of the Volturi is gone. Is his leaving really the right choice? Wouldn't it be easier to protect Bella and the baby at home on his own territory? That is where they will come for her and the baby. Edward's abbsence seems like a window of opportunity for them to slip in and take everything from him.
Esme made Bella think she had no choice and she gave her no time to think the situation over. I wish Edward would have talked to her and let her explain the events of that day but he'd been to hurt to listen.

Edward doesnt believe he has any other choice. He has to hunt them down or they will hurt his son. Edward is more than confident that the Volturi could not infiltrate the Cullen Estate. It is so well guarded getting in is not really an option..... Now slipping out was easier. LOL.

Anyways this was really good. I actually felt for Esme once again. As messed up as she is I get her , I understand why she is that way, but it all boils back down to Carlisle doesn't it . He destroyed so many lives the only one he didn't was Alice but Esme took care of that when she slept with James.
I really thought Esme was going to tell Edward about the baby either to his face or in the letter but she didn't. I have to agree with Jasper on this one Bella messed up big time and I don't know how you get passed this she should have waited for Edward or talked to Jasper or Emmett .. I don't care what Esme said to her. Oh well off to read the next chapter this one was really good.... I am glad Edward is back.

I have mixed feelings for Carlise.I feel really bad for him,losing the love of his life but then again knowing that he was at fault just as much.

Oh this was sad. And not because of Esme's death because of the way Edward reacted when he saw Bella was pregnant. Like he could accept anything but that. I'm glad they took Kate with them. Her own fucking family left her like she was trash. And Carlisle watching Esme die was heartbreaking. Even though I didn't like her she died trying to make amends. What I do not understand is why was she even there. Last we heard was her telling Edward she knew where Bella was. All I know is I cheered when I saw an update in my inbox. Keep them coming. Excellent as always.

Wow that was an intense chapter. Absolutely wonderful. I expected for Esme to be killed but I did NOT expect EDwards reaction to Bella being pregnant. But..... I kind of understand it. I mean he will doom him or her to death unless he puts him through training like his father did to him. And that is torturing your own child and I know that will kill him to do but it must be done to save his life. I just cant wait for the make up part. I am sure he is going to be really pissed for awhile because she left him without a word and it hurt him a lot.

OMG, can't wait to read the next chapter! It sure will be a long drive but Edward has to get over himself and man up! He's gonna be a dad and that was gonna happen even if Bella was not kidnapped. I get his fears, but come on, this baby pretty much has been saving Bella's life for the past 6 months.
And now the others are still out there, Jeez. Hope they are not in the road close to them, I can totally see a car chase or something and with Bella preggers, yeah, that could end very bad.

I commented last night, I don't know where my review went...
I thought this was an excellent chapter, but I'm really wanting to kick Edward's ass for treating Bella the way he has (or hasn't, as the case may be.) I understand that he has no idea wtf to do with a child, but to treat her and the baby as if they don't exist is really not helping or endearing me to him, at all. It takes two, you know? AND just because he grew up the way he did doesn't mean *his* child has to. He can be such an idiot for as smart as he is.
I can even understand that he's still hurt over the fact that Bella left him the way she did. But when you're backed into a corner as she was, you'd think he'd realize she didn't WANT to. I hope he pulls his head out of his ass, and soon. I'm just incredibly sad for Bella right now. :-(

And his issue's with being a father are really legit, hopefully he can talk to carlisle and maybe just not do that if he has a son.
