Part of me wants to just slap him right upside his noggin, but I completely understand why he is reacting the way he is.....he is completely terrified of his child being raised the way he was and having to go thru what he did and he doesn't have the slightest clue about being a father; but at the same time he should know by now that Bella being Bella would never allow it, I mean she influenced so much change already in Edward for the good before the shit hit the fan that she surely isn't going to just let her child be raised the way that Edward was and Edward isn't Carlisle!!
Although he is being a complete ass and I am completely holding onto the mantra of Happily ever after, Happy ending, etc. etc. etc......LOL
I was sad for Carlisle having to witness Esme's death, but can already see the changes it has brought about in him in his demeanor towards Edward & Bella & the baby and I think it is going to be a good thing in the end!!
I can't wait for the next update and am curious to see what type of conversation takes place during their long ass ride to Canada with just Edward & a very pregnant Bella alone together in a small lil car....hee, hee, hee....I can just imagine the kinds of shit he is in store for; he has no idea about pregnancy hormones, cravings, having to pee every 5 minutes, leaking boobs, etc. etc. etc.....

Greens my beautiful soul sister and life partner. First of all MMMWWWWAAAAHHHHH! So much pain and sadness. My heart broke for Carlisle no matter how fucked up Esme was she was his wife and he loved her and my respect for him as Edward's father grew tenfold. He really is an awesome dad even if he made a few mistakes along the way....Eleazar was brilliant. I liked reading his POV and his reminising of the heydays. Respect for Kate she is such a diamond in the rough...Demetri was his usual sexy evil perfection...The demon still by far my favourite..Poor Bells just want to take her home and feed her and give her a hug.(LMAO) And Assassinward..Poor poor Baby...So confused and broken and scared and emotional. I love being able to see in his head. Such a complexed soul he is. I have to say and I know I'm a minority in this But I fucking love how he referred to his baby as a parasite...Such an Assassinward way of looking at it!!! So, I can't wait for the action that is surely coming our way next chappie...it is going to be SWEET!!!!! So much going on, Esme confesses, Esme goes to sacrifice herself, "the boys" are ready for the mission of all missions and Alice, holy shit.....who would of thought sweet lil Ali could pull out that gun and aim it at Edward so quickly & deadly...that was brilliant; and now she is hacking into powerplants and shit....so freeken perfect!!
I love that Carlisle & Eleazar are working together to help bring Bella home too, even though they were both mean to her at first!!
All of this is so thrilling and beyond exciting, but I must confess....I am a little unnerved by Edward thinking that he can't trust Bella after this and how this is going to affect their relationship and I would love to slap Jasper upside the head for stating that she chose wrong by going to her dad....what the fuck ever.....Anyways you promised a happily ever after, so I am not going to dwell on how this will affect their relationship....I will say that I am absolutely anxious to read about Edward's response to when he discovers Bella to be what around 7 months pregnant if I remember correctly?!!?!!!
Like I said, so much is happening and I can't wait to see how it all plays out!! Thanks for the great update Greenaway, you're the best!!

well the demon is back in full force.
well esme you are still alive and i am baffled. now the whole family is aware of the compromise you made. i am glad in the end they are still willing to back edward up even though he has been such an ass. i am surprised though that edward is still thinking bella might be against him. he would have to know since his mom sold her out that she would have made it that bella had to choose her father and not contact with edward. i don't know why he doesn't see it. he is hurt and angry. i do not know why esme did not mention the fact that she was pregnant. that he would be a father. why did she leave that part out. i would think it would motivate them all more to make sure they hurried and got her out. especially carlisle. he hates bella but if he thought he was going to be a grandpa and have an heir for the clan he would be more urgent in his help. well esme letters explained alot. it seems and i hope that she goes to truly try and help bella and her grandchild than making things worse. i can't wait to see what happens. if charlie was able to make it thru all the torture. if bella is still able to carry her child from all the stress. i am hoping kate is still trying to help her. oh on pins and needles. can't wait, love it

I think you did this chapter justice. I do have to say I am not surprised she is pregnant; to be brutally honest its become a little cliche with these types of stories. I love your story anyway and can't wait for an update.

I appreciate your honesty. The idea of Bella becoming pregnant has always been an important part of the story however. As we get further on, it will become a lot clearer WHY a pregnancy had to occur. It's the way the story was always going to go, but I appreciate your view point and see where you are coming from. Holy shit. I barely have words. Very well done twist with the pregnancy. And I really hope the angst ends, soon. I want Edward off his ass, rescuing Bella NOW. God, I feel sick with worry.
