I think Edward is able to be closer to a friendship with Bella now because he sees her as an individual now. One with hopes and fears and dreams and desires. Love the story! As far as Ecward's interactions with Bella, they seem more and more comfortable each time. I think it may have 2 reasons : 1) He knows she is a cop's daughter now. That makes her "family". They all bleed blue! and 2) he has begun to see she is smart and lonely. I think Edward may see reflections of how the others treat her in himself. It may be unfounded, but still he is caring enough to notice the small things and not want to add to her heartache. As the daughter of a cop - thank you for showing them in a positive light.

Great one! I'm a 14W on the bottom and a 16-18W on top and I'm 5'8" so I can relate. I used to say "I'm not fat, I'm fluffy".
13 years is a big age difference but I think it'll be more an issue for others or maybe Edward in the beginning.
I think Edward may or should explain to Bella why he turned her down. I'm sure it took a lot of courage to ask him out. She may be feeling a bit insecure or uncomfortable if he doesn't.
