Methinks Bella is being overly harsh to Jacob. After all, didn't Edward throw her across the room to protect her from Jasper on her birthday? Jacob didn't even do anythong except look at her darkly. Aaand, once again, Damon makes everything better. This line: 

"Shapeshifter, huh?" Damon's tone was skeptical as he looked off into the distance where Jacob disappeared. "Looked like a damn werewolf to me." 

had me cracking up!

I have wondered myself if the Originals would be at all difficult for the Cullens to kill. By all accounts they are faster, stronger and more durable than TVD vamps, and even the originals could be stabbed by wood. If they were just to dismember the body and separate the pieces, that would suffice, would it not?

Ooh, a day out with the awesome big bro! I'm excited about the next chapter!! Also, I wonder how Bonnie will feel with everyone bar Damon criticizing her decision to help out. I'd be pretty short tempered if I kept saving the town over and over again with my friends just yelling at me for endangering myself. How about a "thank you" every once in a while?

Wow, what a scumbag! I'm confused though. Maybe it's a state-by-state thing, but we never needed parental permission to attend AP classes in my high school. We sometimes needed a teacher's recommendation saying we qualified to take them, but parents weren't involved in the process at all. May I presume you are taking artistic license, or does this vary by state?

I'm glad she wasn't just telling on Bella to get her into trouble! 

If I were Bella, I would ask for a list of acceptable responses when a man she is supposed to be polite to asks her to leave with him, so she could avoid this type of problem in the future. Of course, if I were in Bella's position, I have no idea how I would really react to any of this. Edward is confusing her on purpose, so she will always try extra hard to be perfect for him. He knows he is being unreasonable, but he punishes her and emotionally abuses her so she becomes even more dependent upon his rare moments of kindness. Still, it would be nice for her to ask how she could have avoided this scenario. Maybe he'll throw her a bone and grant her some sort of escape option for the future. She won't be able to avoid going to the restroom or speaking with Edward's best friend who presumably doesn't know about Edward's lifestyle and proclivities toward emotional abuse without raising suspicions, and he has to know this.

Woohoo! Meeting with the Buddha! Or, I suppose Sidhartta was more of a pre-Buddha. Either way, very neat. There's a book that I love called "LAMB; the gospels according to Biff, Christ's childhood pal". It's extremely tongue-in-cheek, yet poignant at times, and the premise is that during the 20-plus year period in the bible where Christ is not mentioned growing up, he (and Biff) journeys to the east to meet up with the three wise men who gifted him when he was born. He goes to thank them, and in the process learns philosophical, cultural, and spiritual ideals from them. It's a fascinating, yet funny (again, tongue-in-cheek) look into what Jesus' life could have been shaped by. This chapter made me think you might like it.

Oh, I loved this! The loophole in pragraph 147 was brilliant. I love that Edward was all prepared to be angry, and then the fight went out of him when he got a look at the shoebox. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for this story! I was already crying about halfway through, and I absolutely loved the inclusion of the Unsinkable Molly Brown. I also felt like a major bitch when Philip survived, because Edward was dead in my mind, and I felt survivor's rage by proxy, agreeing with Bella in that her mother did't deserve the wonderful things in life she was able to grasp. Of course I am so glad that Edward survived; I feel like you struggled with that too, and needed to have him survive at the end. Did you intend for him to die, only to change your mind?
