I loved the way Edward/James both intend to fight for Bella. It would be nice to keep James the way he is. If James turns out to be a douchebag (as in most stories) there is no choice but for Bella to pick Edward. However if she has two wonderful guys to choose from, whomever she picks (Edward of course!!) then the choice feels more like the RIGHT choice vs the obvious choice.
