Leaving out a long sigh I focused really hard on opening the twist tie that held the bread wrapper closed. Edward moved with me and as he passed by to get the wine out of the cooler his hand ran down the length of my arm. The extra sensation from his touch made my muscles clench tighter and I think I let out a whimper because Rose glanced at me with a smirked. 

Bastard!

I needed something else to occupy my mind and it didn’t matter what it was “Jasper” I looked up from the two loaves of bread “could you turn on some music?”

“Sure…anything in particular?” he asked moving to a panel in the wall. Before I could answer Emmett made an observation.

“You alright little Bella, you seem a kind of jumpy tonight” Edward’s voice came from behind me.

“Isabella’s been jumpy all weekend”

“I have not!” the words left my mouth without any thought of the repercussions they might cause. Emmett chuckled and a small giggle came from Rose who was standing next to me, but my eyes went to Edward. His face became stone cold hardness while his eyes widened as they turned dark.

We sat a little longer talking about some of the things she would like to do there. I had not been to Victoria in a long time and there were some new attractions that were possibilities for us to see. I thought it was a good time to bring up the extended stay at the beach. Bella seemed very opened to that possibility, made all the more attractive because both hotels allowed pets.

“When you talk to Alice would you get the name of the hotel so I can sort of figure out what the cost is going to be” The statement was harmless enough but my answer must not have been.

“I got it Bella you don’t have to worry about paying” her eyes narrowed

“Edward I’m not going to let you pay for the whole thing. We’re both going we’ll both pay”

“I’m the one that suggested the long trip, I got it” I watched as the resentfulness rolled across her face.

“This is not up for discussion, I’m paying my half”

What does she mean half are we going to split the cost of meals?  

“Isabella be…” I didn’t get to finish, Bella’s eyes turned to pure fury

I should have expected that she would have a nightmare, the trauma of having our home invaded was enough to unnerve me, I can only guess what memories it stirred in her. Removing my shirt that was full of tears and dirty from her nose I laid back down with her head on my chest. “We’ll change the locks tomorrow and figure out who it was, that will make you feel safer. It was just a dream Bella, I swear I would die before I let anyone hurt you.”

“Don’t say that!”

I wasn’t sure what she was talking about when she abruptly shot her head up to look at me. “I couldn’t stand it if something happened to you. I couldn’t take it”

Even in the darkness of the room I could see the fierceness in Bella’s eyes as the tears fell down her face. “Nothing is going to happen to me, and nothing is going to happen to you. Now stop with the tears and lets go back to sleep”

Cupping her face my thumb wiped away the tears as she nuzzled her cheek against my palm before turning her head to placing a soft kiss in the center of my hand. “Do you think I’m crazy?”

“No…” why the hell would I think that?  

“…I think it was a stressful night and I think you have a lot on your mind and have dealt with more in your life then any one person should have to deal with. I told you before baby, I think you are the strongest person I know; a lesser person would have called it quits a long time ago. Now let’s go back to sleep, I have a promise to keep to a dog”

“It’s just the food” I told him as he followed me to the door barking the whole time “Seth!” I admonished while shutting down the alarm and opening the door to a very stunned Irena.

“Since when do you have a dog Edward?”

I didn’t respond to her question instead sighing heavily “What can I do for you Irena?”

“You can invite me in” She said as if it should be obvious.

Hesitantly I moved to the side to allow her entrance locking the door but leaving the alarm off, I wasn’t taking any chances. She stood in my living room watching Seth as he sat by my feet.

“I never thought you to be a dog lover” The sweetness in her voice confused me because the last time we spoke it was anything but friendly. That was the day she and Caius attacked Bella for which I found their actions deplorable.

“Cut the crap Irena why are you here?” My tone was rude but she deserved it and I didn’t trust her.

OMG .. my computer was down for a week over Christmas time,,, I was lost...

Leah went into the bathroom while Bella came around the corner into the kitchen. Our eyes met immediately as a warm smile engulfed her face. It was clear she had been crying and it took everything I had in me to remain in the chair and not run to comfort her. Sue looked up as she started putting food on the table then went over to hug Bella just as I wanted to. Bella nodded at whatever Sue was saying then left her go so she could say hello to her father.

“Hi daddy” Bella said wrapping her arms around him from the back before leaning down to kiss his cheek.

Charlie’s hand gripped her forearm then patted it in a fatherly manner. “Hi’a Bells. How are you?”

“I’m good…” Bella gazed at me while adding “…I guess you got to met Edward?”

“Yes…no thanks to you. Paul introduced us” Bella glared at Jacob mouthing ‘Paul’, Jacob held his hands up in surrender “You don’t want to know”

Edward took the lid off his coffee while I took a bite of the danish moaning as the sweet gooey goodness melted in my mouth. The mixture of berries was a perfect balance between sweet and tangy with a thin layer of warm yummy cheese and sweet drizzle.

“MMMmmmmnnnn” I think my eyes rolled to the back of my head. When I opened my eyes Edward was looking at me licking his bottom lip. “What?”

He kind of shook his head as if trying to come out of a daze before taking a drink of coffee. “Last night was good?”

“Uh huh…” I nodded as I swallowed “…last night was great. I was a little worried when I saw the leash”

Edward cleared his throat “Well you shouldn’t have been looking, your eyes are to remain down not searching the room.”

I sighed “I know but when you put it down on the table all I could think about was when you were going to put it on me.” He looked…stunned, so I figured it would be a good idea to explain. “ Not that I wanted to walk around in public and I will admit it panicked me a little but it kind of excited me too.” taking a drink of coffee I asked the question I really wanted to know.

Taking another drink of coffee I didn’t say anything, but that was twice now that something was not put on the calendar. The lunch with Jane yesterday- which I found out about accidentally - that was ultimately cancelled and now the waxing, I guess my submissive will have some explaining to do. But at the moment I thought of something else.

“If you are waxing have them remove the remaining patch of hair” Bella’s hand stopped mid-way to her mouth as she just stared at me and I wondered what had caused the reaction I was getting. 

“W..Why? You said I could keep it”

Taking a drink of coffee I thought over my words to her on the subject “If I remember correctly I said you could keep it for the time-being but I would like it gone now”

“Can we talk about this?” her eyes stayed focused on the few pieces of bagel that were still on the paper towel. I didn’t understand what the problem was; we were talking about a tiny little patch of neatly trimmed hair.

“What’s the big deal?” I watched as she sat there quietly staring at the table chewing her bottom lip. “Bella?”

Devastation is the only word that came to my mind when she looked into my eyes “I know this is really stupid, but can I please keep it until next time?”

My eyes narrowed in confusion what did it matter if it was now or later? “Why?”

“Do you know why I kept a small patch?”

“You did your father’s wash?” that sounded like something a kid shouldn’t do.

“Yeah…since I was ten or eleven.” there must have been some kind of bewilderment on my face because she justified herself. “I told you this. Charlie worked all kinds of weird hours; mostly he would sleep during the day and …”

Breaking in to her train of thought I made the assumption “You did all the chores”

She shrugged “Someone had too”

I truly couldn’t imagine any ten year old taking it upon themselves to be responsible for keeping a house. I suppose that would be another reason why at the tender age of eighteen Bella thought herself ready for marriage. It seems so clear to me that she had hopes and dreams for a regular life, college, career and all the other things that eighteen year olds dream about. However in her advanced maturity she pushed her own happiness aside and took on the responsibility of trying to please someone else. I had thought Bella to be a natural submissive and it would seem like she was.

The mistake she made was in her choice of partners. I have no doubt that had he not been abusive she would have been a perfect wife. Bella did everything within her power to see to his happiness even to the point of losing her own.

Nooo.. lst weeks posting was on friday... i am so behind in my writing..I need r/l to let up just a little bit so I can work on the story more

“Stay still Isabella” I told her placing my hand on her knee letting my fingers glide softly up the inside of her thigh. “You are to speak freely and tell me about this morning”

Bella’s brow furrowed, I thought that meant she was confused as to what I was talking about so I prompted “At breakfast, you gave Claire a bite of food, something happened, tell me about it”

“This one doesn’t know what you mean”

Bella was over thinking she needed to let go of her inhibitions and tell me what was at the root of her reaction. My fingers drifted over her outer lips while I tried to coax the answer from her “Picture it in your head, the fork coming out of Claire’s mouth…”

“She did what your girl said”

“Yes she did and what did that do to you?’ I asked while my fingers became more insistent in their movements.

Bella whimpered opening her knees a little wider “It made your girl want to tell her to do something else”

“What would my girl have her do?”

She answered without thinking “She don’t know”

That might have been an honest answer, it’s not like Bella has had any training in being the top, hell she was just learning the roll of the bottom. But I wanted to make sure so my question became more direct.  “Would you have Claire do something to you?”
