Nauseous vs. Nauseated Do you know the difference? Most authors don’t.
The difference in meaning between nauseated and nauseous is similar to the difference between the words poisoned and poisonous. A person who feels sick to their stomach is nauseated. Whatever it is that is making them feel that way is nauseous. For example, sour milk is nauseous and makes you feel nauseated when you smell it. A person would never say, "I feel poisonous" (unless they have a mouthful of venom, ha ha), so I person would never say, "I feel nauseous." I hope this helps!
Bella transfers to the University of Washington her junior year. The incredibly beautiful guy with the coppery-bronze hair is such a jerk when their lives first collide, but they can't ignore the fact that they are drawn to each other. Glad you liked that little Big Bro and Resident Advisor talk Emmett had with Edward after the fight with Jake. Emmett is not a complete buffoon...he does have redeeming qualities after all. Rose has always known this.
And Edward...escaping to the patio to be alone with his worries and then taking Bella there to console her with hot cocoa and birthday gifts. I love my Sweetward. :)

Thank you so much for the Chapterlove for chapter 25. I LOVED that chapter myself. It came about due to a reader pondering what Mike would have thought and said about the shower scene. Once I started thinking about it I just could barely write fast enough. It just rolled out of my head. It was as if those characters were all there behaving completely in-character and saying exactly the kinds of things you would expect of them.
Good to know I'm not the only crazy one out there that wants to know how the others all reacted. ;)

What Bella's mouth says is not necessarily what Bella's mind and bocy want her to do.

You referred to the chapter as "wordy," but it didn't feel that way when I read it. The conversation they had was well done and interesting. You have a great feel for when to switch POVs. I love your Edward and his inner monologues! The ending was so sweet with the texting and them together in bed.

Glad you didn't feel that chapter was too wordy. I'm glad you liked their heart-to-heart. I have a much harder time writing serious than I do silly. Glad you like the switching of POV's. I just like to kind of keep things revolving and it always seems that one's perspective trumps the other for whatever the content is. Sometimes I re-tell the same thing through both of their eyes, but I know that can get too repetitive. I think with them coming together instead of being individuals there will be less of that anyway.
Glad you love Inner-Edward. He can be a little egotistical, witty, certainly dirty and yet completely honest in an endearingly vulnerable way, I think.
I personally love writing the texting thing between them. Thank you for the Textlove. They deserved the snuggle time.

I'm glad you liked Snoop Sister Alice. I really liked including her POV. She's so important to E & B's coming together, she deserved a POV to star in for a change. And she's such a meddler...you know that good meddling goes on behind-the-scenes and at-all-hours. I thought that was a nice little peek into her personality and feelings about them.

I think my favorite part was Bella getting caught looking!
Also, in an earlier chapter, I had actually wondered about Edward's laundry, so I'm glad that was resolved here.
When I was reading the lemon (Bella using her mouth on him) I found myself wondering whether that was something he had done with Tanya, and if they had done that, whether it might be something they had only rarely done, since they were teenagers.
The Very Cullen Weekend was a lot of fun and had some really sweet moments. I'm looking forward to seeing them back at school and moving forward with their relationship.

Glad you liked chapter 49...they both looked! Bella got caught but Edward confessed to the crime too. ;) How can they not check each other out? I mean...Edward for sure, right? I don't know that I'd check out Bella, personally, but I can see the allure she has for Edward. ;)
I'm going to say that the oral sex is something Edward experienced before. But probably not that often. He and Tanya were young, yes, and weren't together for that long when she committed suicide, but he apparently has done that before. And I'm going to also say yes...they didn't get to do too much too often, being teenagers...although we all know where there's a will there's a way. We'll hear what he (and Bella, too!) hasn't experienced in a coming (teehee "coming") chapter. There is something for him and Bella to experience together. It's good. ;)

The Edward and Charlie interaction was a lot of fun. I always enjoy a little Team "Fathers with Shotguns."

I think my husband bought me pads right after I gave birth to our firstborn...I'm sure it was his way of thanking me for giving him a son. ;) Can you just imagine the crap Emmett would have given Edward about coming back to the dorm with a bg containing tampons? ;)
There's more great Edward/Charlie interaction coming in the future. Glad you liked their telephone conversation. And keep the whole concept of "Fathers with Shortguns" in your mind for when we get there. There's a definite theme to be mined there. ;)

Very nice introduction to the family. Good idea about human mates having different rules. I'm glad that he recognizes that she's his mate.
I love the idea of him going to the different cities with his antiques to get them appraised by Bella. Esme's idea of the family meeting her by bringing their antiques is a fun idea.

I'm still really enjoying your story! I've already voted for you and the story at the Shimmer awards and I hope a lot of new readers find your story after looking through the nominations.
In this chapter, I really loved your paragraph where Edward reflected on his "rebellious" years and how Carlisle helped him regain his sense of humanity/soul/self-worth. I'm also really glad you didn't shy away from referring to Carlisle's religious background. Carlisle would have definitely discussed God in talking to Edward about his soul and too many authors avoid such references. Great job!
Lastly, I like the way Bella is handling the mind reading. She's struggling a little, which is to be expected, but she seems determined to make the best of the situation. I'm looking forward to that first kiss!

With the SM books, I always hated how Edward viewed himself, and that he thought he didn't have a soul. I'm obviously writing this in a way that flips most of the canon concepts on their head, and people really seem to like that. So I'm going to just keep doing what I'm doing. Thank you for commending me on not shying away from Edward and Carlisle's religious beliefs. I was hoping people would notice that.
I'm looking forward to writing the first kiss, too! :)

When spring came, we were able to resume our walks in the park and on occasion, Edward would accompany Mrs. Jones and me on our trips to the marketplace. Today he was acting a little strange, disappearing for a second or two as we would round a corner, before reappearing again with that playful grin on his face. The three of us strolled through rows of carts before we stopped to look through the fruit and vegetable selections.
Mrs. Jones was looking through the vegetable cart while I stood in front of the fruit cart with an apple in my hand. I didn't see Edward move away from us, so the light tap on my shoulder startled me, causing the apple to fall back into the pile. I turned to see him staring at me with his playful grin again.
"Miss Bella, I have found something for you and I know you're going to love it."
I smiled at his excitement. "What did you find, Edward?"
"Something that will make you love me forever." His voice was filled with confidence.
"Oh, you think so, do you?" My smile grew wider. "Then show me what could be so special."
"Close your eyes," he whispered.

I enjoyed the chapter a lot. I'm glad you're not afraid to present the standards and customs of the time in your story. Getting engaged at a young age was not at all uncommon and her parents would have been pleased that her future was set.
Although I will read stories from a single POV, I prefer stories that have both BPOV and EPOV. To me, it just makes the story more complete and interesting.

Edward is super sweet, isn't he?? But, I would definitely hate to be in his shoes as he asked Charlie for permission to marry Bella. Charlie definitely didn’t make it easy but it was nice to see that he could show his playful side as he messed with Edward’s head a little bit. As a father, you gotta put the boy through a few tests first, right?? LOL Hopefully things will be smooth sailing for Edward from here. Thanks for the encouragement with the way I'm writing this. I’d been in my room for hours trying to find the right words to say to Bella, but nothing was ever good enough. Nothing I came up with seemed like enough to express the gratitude I felt for having been lucky enough to spend so much of my life with her. And no words could capture the immense joy it would bring me if she would marry me. After throwing another sheet of paper into the already full waste bucket, I pulled my pocket watch off the desk to check the time. Bella’s birthday party was scheduled to begin at six the next evening. I had less than eighteen hours to come up with words to express how special she was to me.
“Eighteen hours?” I whispered the words in question.
My smile grew as the idea formed itself in my head. I dressed quickly, snuck out of the house and leapt the fence into Bella’s yard. I ran to the garden, gathering all the small pebbles I could find and filled my pockets.
I knew her parents slept in the room on the opposite side of the house with their window facing the front of the house and my room had the only window facing Bella’s yard, so if I was quiet enough this would work. I took a handful of pebbles from my pocket and began the assault on Bella’s window.

Aww darlin, I’m glad you liked it. Edward and Bella’s love story, to me, is timeless. I’ve always wanted to picture them as this innocent couple with their whole lives ahead of them just to see how they would be together. I have my answer now, even if I had to create it myself. But you’re right, things aren’t always going to be so perfect and these two are going to have to go through life on their own before they can be reunited. Bella’s birthday is here and Edward is going to round out the story by telling his side of what happened that night. All we can ask is how loving and romantic his proposal will be. Here’s a quick taste of chapter 6:
I stood at the foot of the stairs with Mr. Swan, waiting for my angel to show herself, but when she stepped into view, I lost all ability to breathe. My eyes widened as I took in the beauty before me in her new blue silk dress. My mother told me the dress was for the party, but I had no idea that it was a dress for Bella. It fit her perfectly and she looked more glorious tonight than she ever had.
I was supposed to take a step forward, but my frozen muscles wouldn’t move. Bella descended two stairs when my father nudged me from behind, clearing his throat to get my attention. My smile was immediate as the trance she held me in was lifted, and I stepped forward, waiting for her to make her way down to me.
Her pace was torturous as she inched closer to me. When she finally reached the bottom step, my frantic heartbeat drowned out every other sound in the room. The spell she cast overtook me again and my body was still as a statue. Her giggle brought me back to my senses and I shook my head to clear my mind.
I took another step forward, reaching my hand out to escort my angel. I wanted to speak but words failed me in her presence.
New teacher and aspiring writer, Bella Swan, moves to Seattle. She finds fan-fiction-creation-inspiration in the enigmatic and surly playboy who lives in the upscale condo across from hers. As her newest on-line story develops, so does a correspondence with a mysterious reader/reviewer of that story. Is it a co-worker? Is it the hothead playboy? It's a case of art imitating life and life imitating art. A fan-fic story within a fan-fic story with all the canon usuals. Lemons, laughs and love.

Bella is asked out on a date by fellow student, at Seattle University, Jacob Black. She's somewhat eager to go out with him, having felt some kind of physical attractiont to him.
But what happens when she takes down his number incorrectly?
Bella and Edward had an unusual meeting just over a year ago. When Bella took down a friend's phone number, incorrectly, she proceeded to text Edward instead, forming a fast friendship with him and eventually falling in love. A year later and once again their relationship is via text and email as Edward is gaining some valid work experience while helping those less fortunate, in third world countries. Edward has big plans for his return and Bella has a secret which may throw a spanner in the works.
