Its amazing that everyone thinks that Bella doesnt want them, and she just feels stretched between the two. I don't blame her for continually running to Edward's... he's the only one who doesn't pressure her at all.

But I know exactly what you mean...it's so tense right now. You know they both want it...even if they won't allow themselves to admit it completely. And if there were nothing stopping them, they'd go for it...but maybe it's good that they have to wait. It builds anticipation and there will be so much more contrast between the before and after the longer they are forced to wait for it.

The game was a little confusing, but I liked the carefreeness of it. Loved the Emily and Edna arguments...so funny.
I liked Alice's tantrum on the ground. I could easily see her doing that.
As for Jasper, I think it's easy to see him doing something like that because of the way you have written him. And its nice to think of Jasper as carefree instead of burdened like he was in the book. Anyways, if its still ok, I'll pick him up tonight, say around 6-ish??

I guess I figured the game was a little more widespread than it is. We've played it with friends and our son has played it with his friends. But at least the carefreeness of it came through and that was really the important thing. I didn't see them playing a regular baseball game, but I wanted to include something with baseball. ;) And I can really picture Edward and Emmett calling each other Edna and Emily and giving each other a hard time about their ball-playing skills. And Alice having a tantrum on the ground seemed right. I like her and Bella both being terrible at sports. Why should Bella always be alone in that?
Thanks for picking Jasper up in a timely fashion. Make sure he brushes his teeth tonight and remembers to floss. and he likes to be cuddled until he dozes off...if you allow him to doze, that is. ;)

A very emotional or angsty chapter for our Edward here. Poor guy needs to give himself a break. I really liked the small Jasper/Edward bonding moment at the end there. It gave it a little lift before Edward dragged it down slightly.

I don't know whether I like him or Emmett more as "Best Supporting Character." They have different personalities but they are both such a good foil for Edward's rigidity and inflexibility. Jasper is an oddball intellect---kind of a hippy-stoner-genius.

It was just all miscommunication...She didn't want to tell him everything because she thought it would bother him...instead he was bothered because he saw something and didn't really know what he'd seen, but things sure LOOKED bad. This chapter was so full of goodies. I like the study session in the swanky fort and how the went over how the met again.
Edward's talk with his parents was hilarious. I could just picture him banging his head against something solid, such as a wall or desk.
I do like how you ended it though. With Jasper acting as the decoy to save Bella from Edward's evil twin. Any chance we get the Bella POV on that to see Alice's reaction?

Poor Edward having to real with the 'rents on the phone. How embarrassing...and like you said...so easy to picture him banging his head against something hard like a wall or a desk. ;) It could have been worse: he wasn't on speaker phone with Emmett nearby. That could have been the end of his world as he knew it.

I find it so cute and refreshing the way they act together. A lot of people stay true to Stephanie's Edward who has no problem "putting the brakes on", as you say it. So it's nice to see it in reverse.
I loved how Jasper came in and told them exactly why he was there. So funny! At least Alice didn't fight that one. It'll be fun to see what happens next.

I'm glad you find it cute and refreshing. I think it's a pretty innocent romance--at least that's what I'm going for. And I want it to be believable and maybe even a little "familiar" to readers? I think we all love that "falling in love" uncertainty, when you are just getting to know someone. That intrigues me...and the butterflies, I love the butterflies in the stomach kind of thing.
I know the canon Edward is more angsty and reserved and in a lot of fics he's also rather domineering if not downright "dominant," but I loved the "falling in love" aspect of Edward. I guess that would be Midnight Sun Edward. I loved him and his honesty about his feelings. So I tried to make an all-human Edward a little like that Edward.
Jasper is a great foil for Edward's more serious somewhat uptight side. There's nothing like a boy in a kilt. Or a woman's skirt...or maybe it's a "SKILT"!

I could totally see the gang just getting together to knock like crazy on Edward and Jasper's door.

It'll be interesting to see what Edward and Bella choose to make for a dessert... I expect extra fun times in the kitchen preparing Esme's dinner.

Poor Edward playing the catch up game with the James situation...at least he figured out that James is stalking her. Maybe her dad will help out with a restraining order. I loved Emmett's comment about Jasper's inability to keep a secret.
In regards to Jasper himself...if I were to be the cause of the ripped kilt, I certainly wouldn't tell about it...kind of like I don't kiss and tell only I don't rip and tell. Anyways, glad you could mend it. I may take you up on that offer to borrow him again sometime.

And Emmett getting smart...well, he IS a Resident Advisor...for some reason someone thinks he has something to offer in the way of help and common sense. maybe it's just how he acts around his friends and siblings that make him seem goofy. I love it when Emmett comes through as the big brother ...I can almost see him in a superhero cape. ;)

I love the thought of Jasper sitting patiently out by the curb with his little overnight bag packed and waiting. It makes me grin like an idiot. I can just picture it so easily. What is it about that character that makes it easy to imagine him doing something so childlike? :)
