The two things I enjoy most in life are reading and surfing. Opposite extremes don't ya think? One is spent curled up in a dry, sedentary position, maybe sipping an ice tea, and the other is hot, wet, and covered in sunscreen. Thankfully my brain gets the most exercise since I live in the mountains of North Carolina. However, two weeks every New Years finds me in Kapalua, Maui riding the waves, biking down Haleakala, and throwing back Bombay Sapphire gin and tonics. Yes, the good life!! But there's always the chance to read a good book by the beach!! Thank God for Kindle.

A little about myself-- I am from the mountains of North Carolina, born and raised, but spent countless summers and holidays in Northern Louisiana in a little town called Arcadia. Arcadia is about 45 minutes east of Shreveport and 15 minutes west of Ruston. I have an English degree from Appalachian State University. Yes, we kicked top seated Michigan 34-32 in their opening football game on September 1, 2007. Hell of a day. I also have a Nuclear Medicine degree, which is where Nukemlee comes. In addition to this I am CT certified and a NC State Radiation Safety Officer. Yes, toot toot my horn. I love to read and I'm a fanfic junkie. I'm on the internet reading at least 4-6 hours a day. It comes in handy when you only sleep 3-4 hours a day. Gotta have something to do.
