Jasper is a true blood type of vampire, in fact not many knew of this. Maria never told anyone, even though she knew. She tried to blackmail him one day to get him back to her. She would, according to her, achieve this by letting it out about what type of vampire he truly is. And ask why is it; that they never saw him disappear during the early hours of the morning, just before the sun rise; The Cullen's were all fools. Jasper had known a witch; he had saved her from another vampire, she in return for her life created a spell for him that would last no more than the span of her life. She handed over a small gemstone she bound it to her life force. When it starts fading, is when the spell will vanish. She made it so he can walk for some hours in dim daylight, like overcast days.
