I have chills down my spine. Carlisle, Marcus and Demitri are just the spawn of satan. And i feel like Edward has no choices and no alternatives to get out of his situation. As sick as it is, Carlisle holds all the power - both legally and emotionally. I hate him for it.
I understand Edward's way of thinking and completely forgive him for feeling like he has to turn back into 'Carlisle's Edward'. I only hope he explains to Bella why, so that she knows deep down that he is still hers and it is all just a front.
At first i thought that Edward might steal Bella away in the dark of the night - maybe go back to Pheonix. But i think that would leave E, E, J, A & R open for punishment as a way of torturing Edward.
Maybe Edward will sneak into Carlisle's office at some stage and steal Bella's adoption papers, and they will sneak off and elope. Either way, i am just hoping like hell that Edward doesn't leave Bella alone for a second, and that the rest of the family is filled in on what is happening so that they can keep an eye on her.
One thing i find very curious is that i would have thought that Carlisle wouldn't want ot share Bella with so many people. Edward, i can kind of understand, and that is only a single person, but to offer Bella to many other men as well...i'm not completely understanding his psyche.
Thankyou for the update. Once again i am blown away with your writing talents, and your ability to cause such physical reactions from me. I truly felt as sick as Bella in this chapter, and as cold and terrified as Edward. I anxiously anticipate your next installment...

Once Carlisle came up with the idea that Bella would replace Renee for him, he always knew he'd have to share her with someone. He is already married to Esme and doesn't believe in divorce, nor would he feel 'right' about killing the mother of his children. He also has an image to maintain as a respected Chief at the hospital. What would an 18 yr old second wife look like with his image? Remember he is using Demetri and Marcus as a threat over Edward's head. He will only give her to Demetri if Edward doesn't 'come thru'. He's still 'keeping her in the family'. He would never share her with anyone else.
But don't worry too much yet...everything is quickly coming to a head.
