It's improbable to the point of ludicrous that Edward didn't recognize Bella. He was sitting opposite to her, talking to her! Her face and voice doesn't change even if her hair and dress are different. On top of it Edward talks to her later when she's packing stuff in her truck, certainly she hasn't changed her clothes or hairdo? I can believe he might not notice her doing groceries, but this in my opinion is beyond believable, your beta or prereader should have pointed this out. Also Bella should have recognized his voice if not his face behind the Santa mask.

I just wanted you to know, how much I like your story!
Hm - Bella panicked not about going to the dance but about being picked up at her home which leads me to thinking that her home is not furnished at all - wll, not anymore - because she's totally out of money and the company is struggling to survive which is why she needs the staff to do so much extra hours and is being paid less than usual.
Hopefully Edward learns really fast about her real self and they all group together to save the company.
This is if my thoughts are correct.
Nice story! really looking forward to reading the next chapter!!!
I really feel for poor Bella who only behaves like this because she tries to protect herself - and her feelings.
