Poor Emmett, how could he think it was all hocus-pocus until now? The evidence was right before his eyes :) Realizing that the vampir was a scout about to bring his fellow-aliens for a feeding-spree is the stuff that causes nightmares. They've earned themselves a break.

Yes they have earned themselves a well deserved break. They will have a little respite before the next heavy duty Case File begins. Yes Emmett is finally realizing that it's not hocus-pocus. It's hard for a great many people to believe that psychics are cheats and liars. My first husband was a city cop and eventually a highway patrol man and he called my beliefs all of the above.

A being from another planet? A scout? Wow that throws a new l ight on things. I have always loved science fiction and this element makes the story even more attractive! I see that Emmett has been converted into believing in the world of unseen things... I hope now, with the scout gone, the others will go away also. Thank you Judy! I always love your takes. I grew up on SiFi. The first movies I remember seeing with my parents were The Thing from Outter Space aka The Thing and The Day The Earth Stood Still. I started reading SiFi when I was junior high. Always loved it. I used to love horror also, but as I've gotten older I've gotten away from them. I'm so happy you are enjoying the story line. They are going to have a brief rest and working on some cases of no consequence but the next chapter will pick up on their next "big" case.

It is fascinating to read about how both Sam and Angela work. I do believe there are mysteries involved here and do not discount the fact that just because a practice seems far fetched or isn't commonly understood that it isn't valid. I know this is fiction, but you make these things come to life with your words and I love reading about it. Some of the gorier details, not so much, but overall I get a big kick out of all this!

I finally decided to give this series a try, and I am so glad I did. I wasn't quite sure what to make of it at first. I stepped away, even read the prologue to this latest chapter and convinced myself I had to start from the beginning. I like how you have weaved fact in with fiction so effortlessly (at least it seems that way to me). I binge read the series and am now happily caught up. Thank you! I try to keep my characters and their actions while seemingly impossible, possible. There is much in occult and metaphysical litature that indicates that creatures we've come to call vampires reported to drink blood, actually were just humans who had such negative aura's that they drew the life forces from other human's auric energy. It's really a fasinating study.

wow! this prologue was both gruesome and straight to the point. To have her murder described by the victim was both elecrtifying and horrifying! I'm intrigued!

I was alittle afraid it was going to be too much, but my beta and pre-readers loved it so I thought I'd just go for it!! I'm so please that you're intrigued. I have 17 chapters for this prewritten and I plan on writting about 10 more and being done. I look very forward to your comments as always.
