I love your portrayal of Edward in this chapter. He is not the whiny complaining Emoward of the SM Universe. He has both strength and substance. I cannot wait to see where you take this concept.
On another note, I LOVE how you have developed the characters' personalities--especially Esme. Too often writers of AU fics just stand by SM characterizations but instead, you have given a new life to each person here. In so doing, your story lacks the air of predictability found in many fanfictions.

I loved this chapter. The flashback was beautifully written. The imagery was detailed and well thought out. And omigawd, James' transformation was dramatic! The blood, Bella's and James' pain was palpable! James' innocence was evident and then his bitterness and vindicitve personality..wow! Very well done, sweet tits.
Oh! I would love and Edward pov when they...y'know..when they finally..*cough*fuck*cough*. That would be amazing because we will have an insight of what he goes through physically and emotionally when he drinks Bella's venom. Wouldn't that be amazing?! Jus' sayin.. ;)

The mystery with Charlie: what is he, how does he play into this whole story? Who is Edward's bio-dad? Does this guy has some superpowers that will come into play with Edward? And the James thing! Damn! I want to know how she was forced to turn him. How does Esme play into this drama and why is she such a bitch? We know what the usual reasons are for Rose to be that way, but with her being OOC in such a great way, now I want to know about Esme. Is she with Carlisle in this one?
PS? I love the pics you add at the end of the chapters over here! Really a nice touch. This one in particular is so sweet and touching.

FYI - I'm reviewing on both, but you've seen this...
Ah, Trent Reznor, how I do love him.... Great song and it really does fit the theme of this chapter, and the story over all. Now on content... The story is flowing nicely! Your pacing is good and you have just the right amount of suspense and tension there to keep the reader hooked. This one did start out a bit dirty and angsty. Edward really is a bit of a dick at the start of this one. Calling Bella defective was just mean. Transference much? Sparkly boys should not throw stones at hot-ass girls that are willing to get nasty with them. I'm just saying. I know Bella is flawed, clearly, but that does not mean she is without feelings. She is a girl after all, and after nearly sucking her dry Dickward should have been a lot nicer to her. I get he is pissy about his situation and his origins but still. I wonder, is his acerbic personality akin to a mean drunk? Is the blood he took from her his version of whiskey turning him into a spiteful, venom spewing ass hat? Cos seriously, I was a bit surprised she went down on him after what he said. But then again, she was still a bit high from his blood on her fingers. IDK. Esme as the harpy bitch is GENIUS!! I love that you made her the Debbie-Downer of the story, and gave Rose the mother-protector roll. Rose always wanted children, as Esme did, but Rose was denied the same chance in the books. I like that you are giving her the chance here.
So over all I thought it was a good installment! A little cliffy at the end but not a cruel one.

YES, Eddie is as you say. I felt like in remaining true to some canon it was a good idea. I am beyond happy that people are liking this story and my version of Bella...or Cursella. I played with the idea of this story for a while before I actually sat down to write it. I am so glad I did. And Carlise's excitment over something new is always a pleasure :) I'm thinking E is a half breed (like Nessie, which would still give him all of the Vamp beauty...so he could be an incubus), but I'm still a little confused by that guess because I'm not sure that that would still give him the indestructibility that he has.
My other guess is a lot out there but don't Lycans have those glowing eyes? But I think lycans are supposed to be like mortal enemies of vamps right and then they would have recognized there scents right away...right?
As for Chief Masen? Well I have no guess for him cause he has to be what Edward is right...or atleast the close to it?

Wow, I have never read a story from this point of view. It is really well written and interesting to see how you take this. At first I tought it would be the same as the twilight books just roles reversed, but I think you are trying to add moreto it. BELLA vamp seems more hard core than EDWARD vamp. did. Good job, can't wait to see how the two will interact....

It only took a second for everything in the room to change. The air, the atmosphere: my fucking reason for being here. …Bella, he’s here… The gust of cold wind that flew through the room, rustled the papers on the desk, swirling a delicious aroma throughout the small space. I stiffened, knowing that scent, his scent. It tickled my nostrils, seeping into my pores. I could taste it on my tongue….saccharine. It percolated around me. Hanging on every particle of air in the diminutive, hot room. …Bella? We need to go…NOW! Alice was screaming at me mentally, slowly making her way to my side as she did, ready to pounce on me at an instant. My eyes instinctually rolled and I inhaled deeply, smiling with the keen sense that satisfaction was not far away. I turned, knowing that it was him that stood behind me, haunting me. When I glanced over my shoulder there he stood, in all his heavenly fucking glory. Arms angrily woven across the chest of his soaked charcoal shirt, white slip of paper grasped within his long fingers, hair dripping and flat from the rain. He glared at me through the thick wet locks that veiled his eyes, reciprocating the ferocious look I was now sending his way. And was that a fucking smirk, too? The monster within goaded me.
