I will admit that there were several aspects of this story, especially in the beginning that were extremely hard to read, but it just made me want to continue so I could see Bella overcome everything. I know of the controversy that surrounded this story in the beginning (I was not yet into fan fiction I don't think) due to it's subject matter and first few chapters. I'm not sure if that's what intrigued me to read or not.
While those were hard to get through, i'm so glad I did. I think you did a great job showing remorse and redemption and how people can change. I was relieved to see you holding out on Bella's forgiving of Edward, or even having feelings for him for a very long time. You really took your time to have all of that develop in a realistic way.
I know we all love Edward no matter what he does here in ff land, so we're easy to forgive him. I'm glad you made him work for it in our eyes as well as Bella's.

Thank you so much for your positive words about my story. I know I made the beginning of the story more graphic than it probably needed to be. I blame inexperience and trial by fire in writing. This was basically my first attempt at writing and didn't know how far was far enough without going too far. I had to make her experience horrible enough so that when Edward came into the picture, even though he was also a monster, the reader would still regard him as rescuing Bella or the lesser of 3 evils.
I love dark angsty stories the best. I want to rip my hair out in frustration when I'm reading a story with a really good plot and potential and the writer changes the character from dark to light in 1 - 2 chapters. To me nothing ruins a story faster. It's just not believable to me. There has to be growth, a willingness to look within one's self and desire to change, and even then there's backsliding as you strive to become better.

whow! this story was very incredible. I love that you put the character of bella with so much force, despite all that she's been through, she lives her life.
The biggest surprise for me in this story despite the ugliness of the few men is when bella decided to leave edward. It was a big surprise and i didn't know how it was possible. I am happy that she could go to college and fulfill her dream in teaching children.
For each story, i always would more details about their new life, but it's the principe, each story has to come to an end, and i hope that you will come soon with a great plot to take me for a long journey through the summer and fall.
Despite the high degree of violence in the story, you have written a very great story that i will pleased to reread.

This story was hard to read...very hard....My aunt was abused for most of her life by not only her first husband but also her second husband...I thought many times that I wouldn't be able to finish it but I just had to stick in there for Edward's sake....Yes, I know he was bad but I seen good in him...I knew that if I held out he would change and that Bella would be the one to change him....I also held out for Esme's way out of the hell that she was in....You definitely gave us the HEA that we were looking for, especially me....Esme found someone to treat her the way she deserved to be treated (I am a Esme shipper, can't you tell, LOL!!!), Rose and Alice don't have to hide in secret and they get the life the want, Bella graduated from college and is a teacher, Edward is the man that I knew that he could be, HE IS BELLA'S EDWARD....When I read the part where he has the gate taken down I was bawling like a baby...This story is about love and redemption...Many people don't see it that way but I do...You have caught alot of bad slack for this story and I will never understand why...You have given us something that I will cherish it is forever in my heart...Not many of the stories I have read have captured me the way this one has...We were able to go on this journey of hurt, betrayal, and finally love with Edward and Bella and it was so rewarding in the end..Thank you so much Michael for this powerful story and Thank you for sticking in there and finishing it so we could finally see the man that Edward became and that Bella got her happiness with the man that she fell in love with...I understand now why she told him to let her go...They needed that time to heal and grow...They had become new people and they needed a chance to heal all the wounds and find their way back to each other....I look forward to your upcoming story and again Thank You for allowing us to read The Perfect Wife....for putting it out there and taking a chance at ridicule...You are truly a brave woman...Sorry for the long review but I had to put it out there....

Wow. Just...wow. I must admit I was very hesitant to continue reading after the first few chapters, just because I'm not a big fan of heavy angst and it was obvious this story was going to be full of it. This story was so beautifully written, and the characters and plot you developed were masterful. I never imagined that a story with this subject matter could keep me as involved as I've been while reading it. You should think of changing the names of the participants, so you won't have to pay for any rights and then print a book of this story. I am sure it could be a bestseller.....

oh my goodness were at the end, i cant quite believe it, what a ride this has been i only picked up this story after the ff debarcle after seeing so many rec and boy was i glad i chased you all over the internet and finally landed here which i love bty, love to bella she got her happy ending, her life is as she wants it no forcing of anything and because edward was brave enough to let her go she came back willingly and that love and trust and freedom is what they are basing their lives on, love that the rest of the family are all happy as well rose and emmett with their two beautiful children, alice and jasper with their beautiful daughter, and then there is esme married again how brave is she to put her faith in another man after carlisle but her bravery paid off and she now gets to experience a good normal marriage as do all her boys and their wives, a superb ending and a big thankyou for this fantastic story i have enjoyed reading, thanks tracy i will be keeping an eye out for your next project

I have to tell you I never go read the ending of a story EVER and I had to with this because I knew deep down if it was a horrid ending I could not finish this story! I have been squicked out by the things and abuse in this story but I have read it all thus far. I just had to get some peace because it was startign to drown me. But I mean it when I say KUDOS to you on this because there are nto many who would jump up and take on a story line liek this and make a good story of it. I am sad but I am goign to read the rest now that I have some peace to get me through. Thank you!

You are an absolutely amazing writer. I found this story awhile ago but lost the link in my unorganized laptop. When I came back I started reading and could not stop, I really didn't want it to end. In many stories I find that they blend into each other and are so much alike. But yours stuck out not in a bad way of course. I love your writing and the way you capture your audience.
