I can't believe the story is actaully over! I've been following it religiously since you started on FF. I was so glad that you opted to finish it on another site instead of give it up when it got pulled. I did a paper for school on human trafficking right around the time I found this story, and I was amazed at how many people get pulled into that world everyday. Unfortunately, most don't get a happy ending. I really enjoyed The Perfect Wife and look forward to future works (especially the completion of Creating a Mate!).

the only outtake planned is what Esme did with the ashes. Since the story is being published later this year there will be new material in the book that wasn't in the ff version. It's being split into 2 books since the story is so big

Wow, I can't believe this story is over. I have to admit at times this was not an easy story to read and had to scim over certain paragrahps but I was emotionally invested in these charachters after the first chapter and couldn't not read it and was glad when I found it again on this site. I loved that Edward loved her enough to leave her alone while she went to school and dealt with the horrors that were inflicted upon her and in the end they still come together. More than that Esme finding real love was so wonderful, thanks!

I did not have a chance to review after the last chapter. It was really wonderful and the best conclusion that you could ask for. I never thought that Bella's story could end in such a healthy way. It was wise of then to separate and for Bella and Edward to both get therapy. This chapter was the icing on the cake. The rewards of doing things the right way in the last chapter. Well, I really liked it, despite the angst, and the tears, and honestly, sometimes it made me so depressedI just wanted to give up, but in the end everything turned out well.
Bella was strong enough to get away from there and even change them, help them. I wish I was that strong; I was only reading this and moping around about all the horrible things they endure. imagine if it had benn myself (shudders and crosses fingers asking God to never let for that to happen to her).
I made it to the end. Yay me.
This story has a really original plot, tough angtsy to the extreme, is really well written and obviously you never get bored and are always expecting for the next thing to happen.
I really admire you for writting this, I could never accomplish this amount of heartfelt story, nor this strory line.

For a moment I thought they were going to tear down the house!!!! But the gate was enough, and just what all of them needed. Esme, Rose, Alice, Bella and the boys. They are free now, truly free, no signs of what was and could have kept going on.
Life won't always be easy or happy, but it will be better, so much better. Filled with love, laughter and sharing. I think that has been one of the most important parts of it. Sharing both pain, sorrow, joy, secrets, friendship and love.

A lesser person would have probably given up a long time ago. You took on a challenging and sensitive subject, bringing to light the reality of domestic violence and sexual abuse with such class and respect. I know there were alot of people out there who read your story and were shocked and appauled with the honesty in your writing, but truly, you brought these traumas to the forefront, and educated about these issues! On a personal level, you helped me work through my own sexual abuse. I found your story quite theraputic, and it gave me the strength to face my own past, and i hope, brought me a step closer to overcoming the horrors that is remnant in sexual abuse victims.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but I'm terribly disappointed. I feel the first 11 chapters focused so much on the abuse that it over-shadowed the rest of the story. I'm disappointed that it took Edward so long to turn his ways around, yet when he finally did we don't get to experience it. I don't feel like this is a happy ending. Edward never truly did pay for what he did, and a guilty conscience does not redeem him. The ending feels very rushed for me.
In no way is this meant to bash you. I think you are truly an amazing writer and I respect you for sticking to your guns. I guess I'm just sad because this did not turn out the way I expected it to.

Check out my response on the forums for more info. This story was my first attempt at writing and needless to say I've learned by trial and fire the right way and wrong way to write a story. The book version won't contain the first 11 chapters as they stand now. The abuse will be less sexual and more psychological and be condensed into maybe 3 or 4 chapters.
This 5 year period is intentionally left vague so the story has an ending, but the detail will be in the book. This was a compromise with publishing so I wouldn't have to pull the story (like other writers have done on ff when publishing). This way readers who don't want to purchase the book series have an ending and those who do get something for their money.

I am soooo sad to see this story end, but I guess it had to at some point right? I usually don't like stories that are this dark and angsty, but once I started this, I simply couldn't stop. I understood some of the abuse Bella went through (only the beatings and such, nothing else), and I thought reading about it would being up some bad memories, however it did just the opposite. I have found a way to let go of those memories now by reading about the strength of the women in your story. I absolutely loved it! Thank you for sharing this!

Question though; when did the epi take place? How many years from the last chapter?

The epi is 3 years since the previous chapter. A total of 5 years have passed since Carlisle died. She is now 22 years old when they marry

This story is really hard and take the angst to a Defcon One level, I stared to read it when I was sick from Hepatitis a year ago and I remenber that I had to hide in a bathroom to scream due to all the horrible things that happen to Bella, is the first fic that made me say: I hope Edward lose Bella, because he was mean and horrible! I love the strengt in Bella and Esme and evolution of Edward.
But well I endure all that and I'm very happy with the epilogue, thank you!!
