Thank you so much. I am positive that it changed somewhat. But that's okay. Actually, I just have a vague idea how the story will go; I mostly play it by ear. Laurent didn't tell me that he had grown a conscience until yesterday, and of course that changed everything!

James is sick if he wants Bella he has a horrible way of showing it. So is he obsessed with Bella or Edward, probably both right? I hope Bell is okay that was so sad and I hope James gets punished he is pretty dumb, how is Bella going to be able to cook for Royce when she is so beat up.

Yes, James is one sick, twisted bastard. He is obsessed with Bella, but James is a sadist; he likes to inflict pain. He gets off on it. His obsession has nothing to do with love. Because he is obsessed with Bella, he is obsessed with Edward by default. He enjoys making Edward suffer, and he knows that the best way to accomplish that is through Bella, who he wants to treat harshly, anyway. He gets to kill two birds with one stone in this chapter. James doesn't care if Bella can cook for Royce or not, and she certainly won't be able to now. Royce won't punish James; he will be angry with him for the inconvenience of having to eat food that isn't gourmet, but he thinks it is only temporary, and Bella will be back in his kitchen shortly. Royce doesn't really care; she is only a slave, after all.

I'll try, but a 242-pound crate fell on my foot today at work. The entire foot is swollen, and I hate to think how purple it will be tomorrow. My big toe took the brunt of the hit; there's a fair chance that it's broken. I just couldn't concentrate today, and read instead. But an update will be as soon as I can collect myself and type up another chapter.
