i had to hunt this story down since it was removed from ff. i have to say that this one of my favorite stories, ever.

I found your story yesterday when you updated and have been tearing through it. I just wanted to leave you a review and tell you that there are some really specific things that I love about it - 1. I like that you didn't go with the "usual suspects". I don't miss Alice shopping or Rosalie humping Emmett in the background. I like that they made little cameos as supporting characters to Bella (she had to have friends somewhere in the background), likewise with Jasper. Nicely, sparingly used. In that same vein, the way your villains have their own identities and personalities. It wasn't clear if Carlisle was going to be on the Charles train or not, but by ommitting, say James, it didn't matter because we had to wait and see where you were going.
2. Bella. This Bella is lovesick, but I like her backbone. The way she stood up to Edward and spoke up but didn't punish him endlessly. She was an adult who knew what she was getting into and was willing to take the consequences. She didn't readily forgive him, she stood up for herself and I also just love that when Edward recognizes her traits, he doesn't spend hours on her endless beauty and sexiness - but spends equal time on her talents, intelligence and heart. I especially love how he recognizes her talents in the business world. I think all of those things are 1000 times sexier than any lemon quite frankly.
3. I have loved Esme in this - again, not overbearing or a characature, but supportive and strong.
4. Jacob - maybe this is really a summary of points 1 and 2 - but she wasn't shattered and turned off from men forever, he wasn't a villain or abusive or anything but an ex boyfriend that was willing to inquire and see if she needed help. He made a grand jesture but she wasn't torn or otherwise troubled about it. It was a nice way to get Edward to see her point clearly and wasn't over used.
I'm sad to see this one come to an end. I know I have the one short chapter to read that sorts out the final mystery. Thanks for the great read!
