I liked it. I especially liked how you made Bella more realistic, not an immediate saint. She's trying to understand but not ignoring things either.

I try to change Bella in most of my stories, I just feel that there is more depth in her character that is yet to be explored.

Aw that was sweet of Bella to give him a chance. I'm not sure about Tourette syndrome and haven't had much experience with it but this story seemed to capture it. Good job on the writting. It was easy to follow and easy to understand and easy to read. LOL Just easy all around LOL Anyways. Keep up the good work :)

I tried to capture the very essence of the disorder and apply it in this story. Glad to hear that I was able to paint a good and accurate picture for you.

I think you did a great job with this. Sensitive materials need to be handled "just-so", and you did that perfectly. You give us a voice for those who have to deal with Tourette's daily and can't be heard uninterrupted. What I tghink is even better, are those that interact with Edward. Of course there are the totally childish morons that try to make Edward feel smaller daily. But doesn't everyone have those fools in there lives? Overlooking them is difficult, but a practiced art well worth the effort. But in this piece you give us champions! Emmett and Jasper are Edward's life long friends and their relationships do not see Tourette's Edward but simply Edward. They are also not afraid to tell him off just as they would a "normal" friend when he acts like an ass and hurts Bella. You allow your readers to see that true friendship lies in the truth we are able to share with those we are closest to. And Bella.... Bella here is not perfect, but none of us are. She is however the personification of millions of people who do not judge and look for the person inside. They do not see the affliction or disorder. In short, that sound you vaguely hear is my applause and almost certainly the applause of many othyer readers! Bravo on a job well done!

I had this story in my "shelf" for many months and just picked it up last week. I knew I wanted to write this but I needed to research first before I tackle something like this. I wanted to have facts behind me in order to write a sensitive story like Shake.
Knowing someone who is living with this disorder opened my eyes to a lot of things that they have to go through each day. And how other people's reaction affects them. It made me realized that I'm lucky to not have any problem like he does.

I thought this was really well-done and I enjoyed reading it. I don't know anything about this disorder, but I thought you wrote about it in a caring, sensitive way.
