I am sure Renee and Charlie would hit re-do on how they handled this if they had foresight into what would happen.  They acted rashly and now they will have that resentment to overcome as well as 14 yrs of bitterness.  Regret weighs you down like a boulder, they just keep heaping more on themselves and I feel terribly sorry for them.  At the same time, the Cullens have NOTHING to be treated this way so it is worse because they had no control over this situation.  I wonder if the school would let them hold an assembly to clear it up!  IT's better than letting these people speculate and ruin reputations needlessly.

ANYWHOOO~ Ok, so B had to go back to school.  Hmfph, school is overrated.

"Says the college graduate who promotes education after high school on a daily basis." Snorts Peter as he comes into the room.

"Zip it Sparkles!"  I snap at him as he settles in the chair beside me.

Peter chuckles "Yes, I do, but you love the parts that sparkle, don't ya, sweet cheeks?"

I sigh dreamily "Aah, yes, I do love that disco stick Sweet Pete."  I turn away trying to hide my laugh.

It doesn't work.

Peter lifts me up quicker than I can blink and runs us out past the trees behind our home.  You can hear Charlotte's cackle all the way.

"No Peter, don't!"  I scream out as I am flying through the air.  My sound is only cut off as I submerge underwater in the lake located in our back field.

I can still hear Peter's belly laugh as I pout under water.

I know that the Swans are hurting too but when you have a child you put that child first. You put your wants and needs after your child's. I don't feel that the Swans did that. Yes it's as sad story and yes I know they love her but did they ever stop to think about her? The child they claim to love so much. What their actions would do to her life? And what if they were wrong in their accusations? They would have ruined a family's good name not to mention all the emotional shit they caused by the carelessness. So hurt or not, love or not. You think about what that child needs and not just about what you want. That's the difference between the adults and children. They're supposed to think about the long term affects and the consequences.

I agree. Bella does not have to have anything to do with them if she doesn't want to she is almost a legal adult. The can't expect her to leave the only family she knows for them. They are being selfish. At most they can be friends or maybe like an aunt or uncle with time. They are strangers to her. If they push it. They could loose her forever when she turns 18.

so much is going down. i was hoping edward to explain he obivously knows what happened but he didn't. i can not wait to find out how bella got separated from her family and why the cops think she is dead. so they where i phoenix and somehow ended up in LA. now they are all in Forks where the rain doesn't stop and the sun don't shine. both families are hurting. they both want bella. they both feel they have a right to her. thank god she is almost 18 and can make her mind up for herself. man i can't wait to see what happens next.

Rose sounds a little insensitive, I mean they just had a lot of shit happen and she thinks she's owed the explanation? Nice, Edward handled things good I think by not trying to defend Garrett and his family even though that's his friend. I'm still wondering why they haven't called a lawyer yet? I mean yes Tanya works for social services or whatever but she isn't a lawyer. I think they are going to need more then Tanya right about now. Also she handled the case but she doesn't work in the state of Washington, so how much can she really do? Unless she moved there too and it wasn't mentioned yet. Anyhow I'm wondering how school's going to go come Monday morning. Did the Swan's ever stop to think how what they're doing is affecting Bella? They had to know this was going to be hard on her. Charlie had to know he's her teacher. He could see everyday how much of a happy child she was.

Wow you made me cry with that shit lol. Anyway, that was some messed up shit how things were handled. They did have to treat that family lie criminals. Hell they ever treated Bella like a damn criminal and she's the one that was supposedly kidnapped or whatever. That's some B/S. I  hope the swans know that this gets them no brownie points with their daughter. Also just because I have some photos and some off the wall story doesn't prove shit. The cops shouldn't have treated one family like shit cuz they've know the other one longer. That messed up, the whole situation yes but most importantly how the shit was handled. They shouldn't have been able to talk to the kids without the parents there and if they were Tanya should have been called first. Also because of the matter at hand they should have been given some info beforehand so that a lawyer could be called if wanted. Cant wait to see what happens next also I really like how often you update. Please keep it up

Renee is an idiot.   Treating the kids like criminals is pathetic.   Surprised that T got there so quick.

This is going to be hard on all members of both families.  The Swans were robbed of 14 years with their daughter, but the Cullens are not at fault yet their family will be torn apart too.  And don't think we hav forgotten those words Esme told Bella that first night!  She'd hold her until they found her Mom and Dad.  Seventeen is hard enough trying to figure out who you are without the added difficulty of belonging to 2 families but not knowing one of them at all.

I really hope she doesnt have to leave the Cullens.  That wouldn't be right.  I understand getting to know your real family and whatever, but she's seventeen and would essentially be moving in to a house of strangers.

He had to of recognized that Bella was his sister or looked just like her.  I was expecting the Swan's to be there when Bella got home this is going to freak her out.

I think this is story is interesting and i like the idea of it.

I have a comment for you though.
                     I think you need to reconsider Edward's alleriges. If he is really allergic to corn he most certainly would not be eating popcorn. Popcorn is made from dried corn that has been heated until it 'pops'.

love the story!! i have a theory on how Bella came to be outside the hospital: She was kidnapped by a couple that couldn't have kids, raised as their own (explaining why she didn't have any records) then when she was three she simply got lost and ended up outside a hospital.

I am a foster parent and we have adopted 4 boys and are working on our little girl the adoption is almost complete.  I know how broken these little ones are when they come into care it is heart breaking.  I am looking forward to reading more
